I've been using the 1TB WD greens for 4 years now for storage, but one of them is showing a lot of unstable sectors.

I'm looking at these for replacements: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-376-WD&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1955

I'm also considering raiding these together for security, with the data I have building up it's a PITA when a drive goes down to say the least.

Is there any reason why these wouldn't fit the bill? Could you possibly suggest anything of the same size at roughly the same price that may be better for raiding?

Transfer rates aren't an issue as I usually stream just music from them.

I'm liking the WD Blacks, also the Toshibas. One question. One review on the Toshibas mentions an audible hum. These drives will be going in icybox caddies, so any relevance?

I have 3 Toshibas, can't say I've had any noise issues. Though my with my case the drives are supported via vibration-dampening rubber grommets.

I use them for storage, one for my quad tuner Freeview media centre, and one random split into 3 partitions for storage and my 2nd steam folder so my SSD isn't completely full. :)

Current usage 3950h, 3282h & 3194h.
