Strange 8800 issue

I have exactly the same problem as you with my 8800gts 320mb, overclocked 4300 and Oblivion. I had put it down to the games itself as it's the only game that does it. It's not throttling as i am on water and my temps are in the mid 30's. It's not spyware/adware/virus's as my main pc is'nt even connected to the net. Windows is stripped down like yours too. It either has to be the game or this memory leaking thing. Bloody annoying though as the only way to get around it is to drop the details down and that is something i never expected to have to do with this rig. :(
 
Yeah they said the fix was coming this month, and as always Nvidia lets us down, when they said July, they forgot to tell us which year, don't expect it anytime soon, as if they are gona implement it into the drivers, then were out of luck for a while now, the latest drivers have just been released about 4 days ago and no fix for the problem, and we'll not see the next set of drivers until October/November, and thats if were lucky.

dont fret too much mate, all the 8800 cards have the same issue in varying degrees, i've spent the last 7 months replacing hardware and reinstalling things trying to sus out what was wrong so at least you start knowing the problem will be fixed soon :)
