Strange disk message

Hoping that someone here maybe able to help. Got a stange message (below) a couple of months ago, now this week I am getting every day.

The SSD in the laptop is a Vertex 120Gb, about 5 months old, with a fresh install of Windows 7. Currently only have used 76Gb of the drive.

Any help most welcome.

Sprtcmd.exe – No Disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive
\Device\Harddisk2\DR1\

My guess is that some background process is trying to access a file that was once accessible on a USB flash/hard drive.

Does this give any clues what the process is: http://www.file.net/process/sprtcmd.exe.html? Is it a Dell laptop with their Support Centre installed by any chance?
