Strange Letters In Front Of Drive Letter In Defrag Screen

Hi All

Apologies if this is in the wrong section but I though I would try here first. Normally, when I go into defrag my hard drive on my laptop, it just has my C Drive showing, which is correct. However, when I now go into the defrag screen, it is still just my C Drive showing but before the C there is a whole load of letters and numbrs appearing as below

'e4 ,p;'#jkop;[p-u06d#wq (C

Just wondering if anyone knew what was causing this?

I take it it's an IDE harddrive?

Which motherboard is it? Are your jumpers set correctly? Try changing the Data cable.
Test your memory using memtest86.
