moved into a bungalow 9 months ago. its a semi detached property.
The neighbor introduced himself with a box a chocolates nice touch i thought. The guy told me he was a single dad, he is a muslim an wears all the clothes so doesnt look typically british.
Anyway a few months pass he has a child that is pretty noisy at late hours and he isnt exactly that qiuet himself, eg shouting at the kid ect hearing it all through the walls.
after around 2 months the kid is gone and the father comes to the house about 4/5 times a day.sometines with bags of clothes or suitcases, sometimes a 5min pop in sometimes 30mins.
The house is unoccupied for the rest of the time. All the windows are drawn all the time. Windows never opened...the plus side for me is no neighbours but it freaks me out thinking what is going on. or am i just a loone. you tell me overclockers.

Drill a spy hole through the adjoining wall or go full Shallow Grave and cut through to his attic and drill holes in all the ceilings.

He won't. Notice. A thing.

That is odd compared to normal behaviour of house owners but nothing too crazy... He is probably just using it as storage or something then living elsewhere.

yes i did think about the "cuttings" haha. yes storage is probably right just kind of odd really. Makes my day more interesting though.

doesn't sound too bad tbh. at least you are not in some silly parking war with the neighbours.. that is tiresome.

he's prob off somewhere else, where ever the kid's mother is.

Only thing really wrong would be if he is claiming rent rebate or something. If he isn't living there then he is screwing the tax payer.

A guy where I live has been doing this for over 18 months. He claims disability etc and has a wife who has a house elsewhere. He refuses to give up his property even though he only pops in once maybe twice a week for a few minutes.

Quite a few people have reported him as he is holding up a two bed flat that a family should be living in as well as claiming a full rent rebate. It is surprisingly difficult to prove and the authorities seem totally uninterested in this fraud.

My guess is he has a new woman with her own house & is stopping over there most of the time but it's far to early to commit & sell his own place.

Or Rubber Dinghy Rapids Bro.

I think you're right to be suspicious as he is a Muslim who wears all the gear... I bet he has a beard and Muslim hat too... You should keep an eye on things and make regular reports to the local police station. The kid might have been sent overseas to a 'religious school'... generally means he's sent him off to join ISIS...

Has he got a landlord - make sure the landlord has done background checks and seen a copy of his passport to ensure he's not an illegal.

He and his wife are pulling a benefits scam, single mother separated type thing. Probably both claiming housing benefit too using the old 'husband is wifes landlord, wife is husbands landlord' trick ;)
