Strange problem with my X800 XT PE

Hi all,

I searched high and low and couldn't find an answer to this.

I have a very intermittant issue with my X800, sometimes it just offers no display when trying to post. A quick reseat fixes it, then 6 reboots later it won't work again.

Has anyone experienced this before?

The board i am using is an Asus A8V Deluxe (939).

have you checked it is in tight and screwed in? it might be a loose connection on the motherboard

try reseating the card if its something like the above guy posted it might fix it

Yep everything is firmly built in, it's really strange as once you reseat it, its ok for a while..

Could it be dust maybe? Or a known issue with the card?

maybe it's on it's way out?

i had an x800pro and it used to post everytime but refused to boot into windows. it would take 2-3 reboots before it would actually get to the desktop. over time it got worse until it just wouldn't boot into windows whatsoever. i had to bin it....

my only suggestion is to try and test it in another machine?

I am having a similar problem here as well, but I cannot get the card to work when Ati drivers are installed.
Windows will just freeze on the loading screen after 3-4 seconds.

It was working for all of 2 days. Tonight I have had to remove the drivers again in safe mode

Driving me crazy this week!
