strange request from logitech ?!

Basicly smash it so they can send you a replacement. A couple of people had it with mouse here.

Yup, I had a Logitech MX1000 with a faulty wheel. I didn't have the receipt and couldn't give them the serial number as the sticker on the bottom had come off. So I had to smash it to pieces with a hammer (which is harder than it looks) and take pictures. A few days later, I had a brand new Logitech MX Revolution sitting on my doorstep.

Can't fault their customer service, which is why I always buy Logitech.
