Match Format
Each player plays everyone else in the league TWICE. Once with each player hosting (Home and Away).
Each tie is the best of 5 rounds (First to 3 rounds). 99 Seconds per round.
The Host (Home) player MUST play with his nominated character. Player 2 (Away) can choose to play with his nominated character or any other character. This is reversed for the return tie.


Schedule
It is up to you to get your 30 matches played. All players MUST add everyone in the league to their PSN list in order to organise their matches.
It is up to you to make sure your internet connection is working so you are able to Host when required. If you have a problem and your opponent agrees you can swap hosts BUT you must stick to the same character limitations (although side advantage will be lost).
A MIMIMUM of 6 games must be played per week. The cutoff will be 6-m on Mondays. If at the end of the week you have not posted enough results a mark will go against your name. If by the following week you have not reached the next milestone, another mark, and so forth. If you know you are going to be away or unavailable, get some matches played in advance, or arrange it so you can catchup on your return. Each math will take less than 8 minutes, from start to finish, and there is 15 people to try and hassle to play online :) so it shouldn't be hard to get the games played.


Scoring
3 points for a win
1 point per round won for the loser.
1 BONUS point for any PERFECT round (added to your total for that match).
additionally
1 Point only for each contestant if there is a point dispute, and a mark against your names. (Hopefully we will not need to do this and we can all be adult enough to report the scores honestly)


Results
One of you must post the result of your tie on the forums listing, Score, Characters chosen, Home or Away and if there were any Perfects.
Important: The other person MUST quote and reply to your post to validate the result. If need be discuss the results amongst yourself first if there is a disagreement or replay your match. If you post your result and it is disputed you will score accordingly(see above).


Videos
Obviously not everyone has decent recording facilities and it will not be practical for everyone to record their 30 or so matches. However, it would be nice if EVERY PARTICIPANT could upload at least one of their matches over the course of the league. Even if it is only camera phone quality it will end up being watchable once uploaded to Youtube.

I will put you down as near the top of the reserves. In the tournament you only had 1 game, you know this will be around 18-24 games over 3-4 weeks? Is there anyone else here you play some games with online regularly who will vouch for you?

That was a typo, I corrected it. The idea was if you lose 3-2 and get a Perfect you can salvage back 3 points (You deserve to claw that back if you can Perfect people at this level, and even then I think it is highly unlikely).

The other rules stay, I like the idea of the loser's points being added. If you are good you can still win 3-0 and this way it means the scoring will be closer and more exciting imo.

I have added the other people to the main list. This gives 11 people and if I let in Richeh, we are at 12. This means 22 games to be played each. I envisage that each one will take less than 10 minutes from start to finish, but it is still a lot.

Are people happy to keep going to 16 players (meaning 30matches each or shall we call 12 the max and finalise the rules and get this show on the road?

ps3udo and <madness> need to pick their "Home" characters.

The appealing thing about this league is, you get to play with a lot of people and all the games count. I think we should keep it open yet to allow a few more to join, also a few of the regulars maybe haven't seem the thread just yet, final decision is with rp2000. :)

I am happy with this, and quite keen on both Beenom and king-core taking part (As they have been in previous tournaments etc).

My only concern is I said it would be only 10 players and now may be 16 (hence increasing amount of games people need to commit for).

I will leave it open for 16 for now (till tomorrow midday, latest). I think the last 2 slots go to known people on the forums (who are vouched for) by the deadline, if not then Streeteh's mate get's one of the slots or anyone. So we will have at least 15 people to start the tournament by tomorrow midday.

Ok, I have filled in all the slots in the original post one slot remains. Everyone already on the list or Reserves is vouched for by someone or me. The last slot gets filled by Beeneh if no "regulars" from OcUK or SF4 tournaments comes forward first (no offence to Beeneh, but I am sure he understands they get preference).

A couple of people still need to nominate their Home characters, so they have till 3PM tomorrow as well. I won't be e-mailing people, just using the forums and PSN messages to chase people.
Anyone wishing to change characters has till their first match to let me know, after that they are stuck with that character for ALL Home matches.

PLEASE BE AWRE I HAVE SET THE LIMIT TO 6 GAMES PLAYED A WEEK. CHECK YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE RULES AND PULL OUT NOW AND GIVE UP YOUR SLOT IF NOT.

I will finalise the rules by 3PM tomorrow but, essentially, you can start playing your Home or Away matches and post your results from then.

Sorry guys, The limit of 16 is reached. The league starts now. The only way you can join is if you convince the others as it means an extra 4 games for everyone (as the total participants would be 18) and would probably make teh minimum per week 7 games. It's up to you, it may be better to wait it out and join any subsequent leagues. Obviously if anyone has to withdraw or something in the 1st week then their places can be filled, in order, but I doubt that will happen.

<maddness>. You cannot play any games till you nominate a character, so please do so promptly.

I am adding everyone in the list to my PSN shortly. Might even play a league game or 2 later.

Make a note of what character the away person picked (I assume you picked Abel).

We can't video every match, but I think if each person sets a target personally to video 1 or 2 matches, it will be fun for others to view.

Everything seems to be progressing along very nicely. Glad everyone is proactively playing their games (even though I sense enthusiasm will wane after a few days:) ).

I will update the table tonight if we have a few more results for me to put in.
