Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

I won't be using Sim, i'll prob go with Bison and try out Yun/Yang

Hopefully there will be one other guy there who's still learning the game, i don't wanna get bodied and come off the cab quick.

@Art

Looks good!

It's not much different to SSFIV, so you're nowhere new to the game.

@Conquerer Kenny

It's still one cab, and you're sitting way too close to each other.

i coudn't get comfortable and my hand placement was all wrong, i strugled to get a yoga fire out :(

And it was busy, only managed to get in 3 games, i lose twice (2-1) to Yun, it's not that bad a matchup for Sim, and i accidentally picked Yang, so i basically lost a turn there.

But it looked good, Yun vs Yang = a lot of jumping.

I wouldn't say 'only' 1 frame slower.
Going from 3 to 4 is huge.

Anyway, I heard on a stream that it didn't actually change despite some articles saying it had.

I was in London today and popped into Casino at lunch time and a had a couple of quick goes on AE and was owned by a guy playing Yun.

It looks like they just shoved AE into one of the existing SF4 cabs except it has 2 player controls rather than just 1. The player 1 just felt weird, like the joystick was in jelly but the player 2 side felt just fine. They have left Evil Ryu and Oni locked.

I actually played a bit of Hyper Street Fighter 2 and played against a couple of people, both friendly guys. One even little me use 2 of his credits, I felt bad when I beat him and he had ran out.

I was up casino today and put so much money into the ae machine tying to play Yang. He is so much fun. I hit low forward into reka so many times, beefy damage and so easy you have a week before you need to do the next reka.
His U1 seemed like a good anti air/punish it comes out really fast and does huge damage, I was punishing criminal uppers with it all day, FADC reka into U1 was surprisingly easy too.
I think I might have found a new main today.

Stuff like that is why I am never playing this game again, yawnfest

You might not be a huge fan of competitive MvC3 then. Keep away teams are looking incredibly strong so far. The ASS team (Arthur, Sentinal, Storm) is looking hugely effective.

From what I heard, AE will basically consist of Fei Long, Yun, Yang and Makoto.

I like that a lot. No fireballers, no turtlers and no one trick ponies in the top tier, although akuma is definitely still up there from what tokido says.

I won't be tier whoring to those characters though personally.

I already saw ASS doing really well but at least it's still not a really slow paced game, you can close the gap on MvC3 with one jump, not saying it's not possible to be kept away but it's definitely easier to get back up close against someone.

I'm hoping to get decent with Wesker so his teleports are definitely gonna help!

silly question i know and as this games old too, but how do I pick a fight with a friend of mine. There seems to be no invitation option and whenever i start/create a battle i get a random instead of my mate ?

A few ranked matches I played today:

Me (Ryu) vs mikey r k (Guile, Dudley)

Me (Ryu) vs WOF Caution (Viper)

Me (Ryu) vs ATHiEST WaY (Akuma)

Me (Ryu) vs Jot139 (Guile, Ryu)

Me (Ryu) vs akumamatata (Gouken)
