Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

wow only just noticed this thread! I'm a massive ssf4 fan even though considering how much I play I really am poor lol but would love to get some games in with fellow forum members! I did join the neo empire forum but found it difficult to consistently understand and keep up with the slang used by the kids :o

Anyway I use Abel exclusively (none of the others float my boat till yun/yang in ae) so add me for some matches :D

I'm really practising with Guile offline and trying to perfect my FK FADC U2. It seems the TE stick was the weak link and not my technique. Cleaning out the stick helped.

What inputs are required for that? I remember trying it for ages in practice mode and I only managed it once, and that was by accident!

db (charge), ub+K, b+FA (hold for 1/2 sec), f, f, b, f+3p

Not that hard to do by itself (it's childs play compared to DeeJay's double 1 frame non-plinkable exmgu dash Ultra), but comboing into it, such as this is not a doddle:

jhp clp clp cmp flash FADC ultra

There are many variants of Guiles HK FADC. Generally forward dash variants are easier to pull off then the back dash ones, but should be used in combos so that the U2 doesnt whiff.

Once you get the muscle memory in for this combo, you can easily mix it into Guiles BnBs.

(In reference to Kreeeee's description) Ideally there should be a very slight pause in between the FA and the remaining U2 motion.

If you're playing an U2 Guile you should learn to swap to roundhouse FK vs a lot of jump ins.

RH FK trades with most deep jump ins and if it does trade you can pop the Ultra 2 and they'll land in it.

Also when you're learning the dash ultra just spend time doing down back to up back for your FK, the dash ultra is actually pretty easy. What you will notice though is it will autocorrect if you do it midscreen from up close, or whiff if you do it in the corner. There are two ways to get around this, either do c.lp, c.mp into the FK or you can just hold the focus attack for a while. It's tricky.

With backdash ultra you can just tap back once then mash the forward back forward and double tap the three punches. I used to find it harder but now it's easier.

Posting from phone, as soon as I lose I have had to go the last 2 times we played lol. I'll post on here when I'm on again, about 6-7ish. Your Sagat is getting closer, I still remember that thrashing I got back on SF4 PC against your Sagat :) The fact you haven't been playing as much, plus Sagat is weaker on Super, and I've definately improved since we last played means it's much closer now then it use to be, ggs!

I don't think we can fairly call them SF4 games fair due to Sagat though the OP **** :D

Getting there though, keep misjudging the timing and spacing of his uppercuts and keep getting thrown, lol! Will be on later :)

and I swear if I fail to cancel one more time! Grr!
