Gonna crack open my TE stick. Any advice as to what tools/cleaning materials to use?

Toothbrush to clean off the grime, and silicon lubricant to use on the white cup of the JLF only.

nice, i love ur ryu, its my fave, uve really nailed the zoning and anti air dp without fail.

anyone up for a ft10 over the weekend, im on nites at the mo but will be on in the evenings. im up for a ft10 with distorted at some point, had an awesommeeeee ft10 with madbeats, was so close and really high quality, considering im rubbish. ggs

I've had a few games with him. Probably best Deejay I've ever played. I don't think he likes playing shoto characters though.

No he doesn't like playing shotos at all but you guys should have a set first to 5 or something and upload that, that'd be a good set to watch. I think you guys are about even tbh.

Recent set I had with Madbeats who wasn't as on form as usual, it finished 4-4 overall. Felt it was worthy of an upload since I don't normally come close.

Ok so cracked open the TE stick yesterday and ... well...
Took the gate off and the switches, but didnt know what else to do really in terms of cleaning.

Do you guys crack open the switches? (I couldn't see any screws so Im guessing its sealed in a different manner).

Your thoughts?

Opened mine a while back to change the button config around. Didn't need to clean any of it though so I'm confused as to what cleaning needs to be done to the inside of yours, did something get spilled in there?

Tbh, I had the same thoughts as you. I was like "Hmm what needs to be cleaned exactly?" Noticed that where the stick makes contact with the switches was a bit grimey, so gave that a clean. Cleaned the switches a bit to make sure no grim or dirt gets stuck etc. But apart from that I didnt know what else to do.

Have a closer look at the switches, they pop open with a small flat head screw driver.

Just remove the red plastic pieces and give them a decent clean.

Thanks for pointing that out.
Tbh I put it all back together again and it seems a bit more responsive shall we say?

By the way, two of the nuts fell out of their "placement" area, so I literally had to push them up once again and pray that the plastic moulding would hold it in place in order for me to screw the cover art/stick/button piece onto the top.

Does this sound right to you?
