Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Its all on PS3 this year, can't decide between a PS360+ mod or just buy a PS3 stick for cheap of the bay.
Fingers crossed should be good - Although I guess in your case a tenner to spectate could be classed as money you won't get back?

I fancy Yipes or Fchamp to take Marvel, both of them have looked unstoppable lately. The only person I see posing a threat to Ricky in AE is Justin.

I've heard a lot about the Chinese players in AE lately, they have a Ryu who is supposed to be incredible. I hope I am wrong about Ricky because Rufus has been winning too much lately

i think neither fuudo or kazunoko will take ae and justin will probably win marvel.

champ is good but his team cant fight vergil, yipes is probably one of the best technical player but he doesnt seem to do it in tournament settings (short sets)

yun and fei will still stomp everyone to the ground in ae and fuudo is a extremely solid player. i think he will do well along with kazunoko's aggressive yun play, who still does retarded amount of damage. obviously daigo is still a threat but results havent gone his way lately.

i think so, but the problem with zero is although he is by far the strongest and most retarded character (he is the only character that can move very fast with massive multi hit normals, relatively simple confirm from almost anywhere on the screen and kill you with one corner to corner combo) but every time he drops a combo is like a kick in the nuts because the other guy will most definitely xfactor and kill zero.

another problem with him is if zero dies early, he has some serious problems even though he has the second best character (vergil) in his team.

on his day though, he will destroy anyone retardless of who he is very fast even without using xfactor.

KOF13 will be really interesting since the Chinese players will be there too, so we'll see who the best is out of the "Capcom games are too expensive in our Third World" countries, though Bala or some other Mekikan is still more likely.

UMVC3 could be anyone. At least a Vergil, Wesker or Phoenix will be the winner though :p. And maybe, just maybe, one Japanese player in Top 8 with their interesting teams. They got the anti-Phoenix tech down, but since she is less used now, it would be a tough battle for everything else, though if anyone watched the FGTV stream few days ago, they can put up a fight.

SSFIVAE I recon Eita, Kazunoko or Ricky Ortiz. I wonder if it will be a 3rd year running for the top places with 1 - Japan, 2 - U.S and 3 - Korea or maybe some other representative.

wesker and phoenix wont do it. wesker is too basic, have too many bad match-ups and people got him figured out now, while phoenix is too risky due to meter nerf and many other counters to her even if she turns dark.

japanese players wont do it neither. i saw them getting absolutely mauled by yipes and champ in fgtv, they are going to struggle bad against players of similar quality. and there is more than 8 players in usa on that level. they can destroy most second top tier players though. their best player is probably abegen (tron, thor, she-hulk), but he is in the hardest pool. surprisingly umvc3 have very consistent results even though it is a extremely random game.

i think zak bennett from uk has a better chance of top 8. my prediction is there will be a wesker in top 8 but he will get exposed and lose bad. there will not be a phoenix other than champ in top 8. chris g will make top 8 and both he and the steam monsters will be salty about it. a zero player will dominate his way to top 8 and lose because he dropped a combo and get xfactored. there will be more than a few magneto and doom in top 8. wolverine will be in top 8 and fools on srk dreamland will still think he is not top tier. if an iron man player plays on steam, he will get bodied and idiots will still think the character is underrated. a vergil will win evo.

i dont think eita will do that well. he is good but not on the level of tokido, daigo, mago, etc. aka the gods level.

I guess it depends on how you would look it at, but going by recent results and especially the Topanga tournament, Eita is on top form. Tokido is focusing a lot on other games, and whilst he is still incredibly strong, I recon Eita has the better Akuma at the moment. Of course whether it will translate well in international play is something else.

Apparently Sakonoko is at EVO too. Whether or not he will place high is another matter, but I'm just more interested in how well he will be doing. I wonder if he will occasionally play Cammy if it calls for it.

he won the B league, not the A league where the god are in. if i were to pick a dark horse, i like hatani, but i have never seen him play in a international tournament other than shadowloo last year.

Yeah but then a lot of players in the B League should have been in A in the first place (Well more like A League tier). A League was full of players that were more internationally known. And Tokido lost to Kyabetsu twice, but then again, it is C.Viper.

He's right Hyv, don't sleep on Eita. #1 Akuma out there right now.

EDIT - Tokido in loser's now, he played really well too not sure how he lost in all honesty.
