Finals are on Sunday.

They are going through all the pools until the semis today for AE. So it's going to be a long night for us.

Razer really needs to get their fightsticks into gear, and especially make PS3 versions since it's funny seeing Fuudo, Itabashi and Latif using MadCatz.

Starnab is through in losers as well.

Don't play much any more, just don't get the time but still enjoy watching the top level tourney games. Is Poongko still using Seth and is he still in??? Was it last Evo he perfected Daigo, doesn't seem like it was that long ago.

Yep Poongko is still in and rocking the boss. He had a pretty good match against a Yun earlier. And yeah that was last year's EVO.

Just read that there's supposed to be Daigo vs Latif as well. That's gonna be epic.

makoto is too much of a random read base character to do well in big tournaments. you will need a character with a consistent style and able to force a game plan on someone to do well. thats why characters like gief, makoto, abel, super skrull in umvc3 will never win regardless how godlike the player.

And Latif lost too!

Justin Wong vs Kazunoko may be off stream too.

EDIT - So many upsets and surprises in the Quarter Finals.

Just can't believe they are going to through until Top 8.

My 3 picks for AE are way off now.

Daigo vs Gamerbee, one of the best matches ever.

ungh so tired, stayed up to about 3:40 watching. Had a lot of fun watching Mago get beat by Dieminion even though I usually hate Guiles. Real shame Mr Naps didn't do well, he's usually a lot of fun to watch blow people up.

I'm hoping Xiao Hai can do a little better and fight back. He's been very lucky so far.

If not, then at least him and Dakou finishing in the top placings or even winning it in KOF13 as well.

how can anyone doubt daigo not making top 8? he is in top 8 every year at every game (except marvel) he enters. it is just whether he can win it all or not.

Infiltration vs Dieminion is always so fun to watch, especially with Gouken in it.

At least this time Dieminion wasn't completely free, but still was annoying for him.

Funny how him and PR Balrog are the only 2 U.S players left, and also 2/3 of the U.S SBO team too.

I hope there will be footage of the off-stream matches. So many eliminations were there like Sako and Ricky Ortiz to name but a few.

Daigo wasn't doing too great in the run up to evo. Not even top 8 at CEO, lost the first to 7 finals in an asian tourney to xian. Tokido not making top 8 was a big surprise, I had £5 on him winning the whole thing.

Daigo was No.8 at CEO.

Funny thing I noticed is whenever he doesn't win at SFIV in U.S tournaments, he always at least wins ST.

The Tournament of Legends at EVO is going to be interesting.

he only lost to jushin and ricky though. i think he would have beaten anyone else.

i like damdai in st. o.hawk throw loop is too strong. and he has a pocket ken for counter picks. but i think it will be hard to stop the beast's ryu and rog rush down.
