Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

The nerfed throw range is another intentional change to make people think about using them rather than always doing 2 jabs and then a throw. You should still be able to do 1 jab then a throw with most characters.

It just sounds like you hate change to be honest. SFIV is still there is you prefer the way that plays.

tbh last night I managed to play for over an hour with no laggy games and I began to enjoy it. Then he bugs crept in (taking ages to connect to a game, random lag etc....) which frustrated me as I was so close to getting to Super Silver.

If the network connection gets fixed I'd be happier. I'm getting used to the change in gameplay, but as an Abel player I rely too much on throws which was getting me upset.

Do heavy/ex tornado and then try out standing and crouching V-Skill and neutral jumps, it's the very basic fundamental component of Rashid. No wonder you're not enjoying playing him without knowing the basics!

Slowly getting there now. Spending hours in training seems to be the only, for me at least, way out of the vortex of being a really basic player. I've done better by spending a few hours in one go, rather than little and often.

For the Laura players - when doing the cr hp xx ex clap, I can do into st hk/cr hk but when doing the st hp or st mk I just can't get the follow up dash into a reset. Is it just pure timing practice? I've only ever ended cross-under once off the mk. St hp is OK, but I struggle to get the command throw out.

Regarding "getting in", do people tend to clap and sneak forward that way? I do this OK against people around my level (~1200 LP), but against better players they're very wise to it. I read earlier Laura will slowly die, waiting for the big punish which frequently ends in stun and you then can get the win. Seems to be my experience! I do alright if I can get close, forcing blocks into quick v dash throw or just getting people in range for her long reaching cr hp (which is unexpected often).
 
play footsies with cr mk,st hk and st mk. the standing kick moves you forward and you can really bully your opponent just outside sweep range because st hk hits really far even though its really slow. you can easily fish for crush counters and v-trigger confirm with them.

or you can do what i do, which is just jump:)

for the juggle just mash the button out for it to come out as early as possible.
