Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

My god, bought a hori fighting stick mini and even though it has a ps4/ps3 selector it seems a little bit more responsive in ps3 legacy mode.

I did read up a little bit about it but the fact that the stick is more responsive when its set to ps3 mode is a little strange.

Annnnnd i back! :D

I haven't played SFV for months waiting for it to catch up with itself. So, wait i have missed? Is it still as broken as it was on lunch? What extra stuff are there to do now?

Match making is pretty much fixed. You only get people in your rough level range.
DLC characters: Alex, Guile, Rog, Ibuki (Urien in September) (purchase with fight money or ££)
DLC Story mode: Full cinematic story (free)

This thread been quiet for a while anyone on here still playing ? I'm still loving exploring different characters and trying to get better , it has got a lot better since launch ... and Akuma out this month :D

Also season 2 will bring a huge balance patch apparently from what the pros are saying at psx

Been playing it on and off since launch. Will get back into it with the release of Akuma and season 2. Looks like they're making some decent changes for season 2. This is not confirmed yet but according to Xian they've got the input delay down to 4 frames which would be awesome if true. Akuma looks hella fun to play.

I play a fair bit still. I'm looking forward to the season 2 updates that heavily nerf invincible wake ups, throws and the brain off vortex play in the current meta.

I play a few times a week. Saturday has become Street Fighter Saturday. Me and my Bro play all day.

Got myself to Ultra Silver with Laura. Win a good chunk of my fights, could maybe get to Gold but my execution is still pretty poor. Bro just got to Gold with Alex. Looking forward to S2, should help Laura with some of the nerfs. Will be trying Akuma for obvious reasons.

If anyone fancies giving me a pasting, my CFN is syph0n. Need help from better players. Gone to the local scene once and it was really useful, but it's a night I can't do usually.

Nottingham? They've got some good lads up there, and some salty ones :D

Hoping season 2 will breathe some life into the game. haven't really got any better since I started. Akuma looks fun, well his one combo, but we'll have to see what other changes they make to it and the Pro Tour.

Yeah, at GeekZilla. It's the one held at the National Videogame Arcade.

Apparently there's another venue on a Tuesday night with more 'pro' players, but I've not investigated further. The GeekZilla lot were friendly, but I think I caught it on a Smash tournament night so the SFV crowd was pretty small.

Yeah, they run it at the Saltbox Bar - 19:30 Tuesdays.

I think there was a falling about between them and Geekzilla as they all used to be as one. :(

If you can easily beat the guys at Geek then it might be worth popping your head into the Saltbox to see how you get on with them. They certainly take the game a lot more seriously :D

That's sad. The guys at GeekZilla were friendly. I didn't beat them easily really, there were a couple who had me beat too, but there were only a few players really. My brother went on another occasion and played a guy who was absolutely brilliant. I don't think he got more than a couple of rounds. I don't mind getting battered if I learn why.
