Street Fighter V

No arcade mode! WTF! street fighter with no arcade mode!

only a one round survival mode which is kinda good

No akuma or sagat

it plays nice but its a very bare game, nothing to it offline. The story modes are laughable, 4 super easy one round fights, thats it, 100% story completed!

I thought it was just the introduction I was working through before story mode started, nope thats it, its finished 100%
 
Unfortunately, whilst those who follow fighting games were well aware that SFV was going to ship in the state it current is in (this has basically been released 'early' for an upcoming fighting game tournament), those who didn't may feel that they have been short changed.

These modes are coming (and relatively soon) but perhaps Capcom should have done a better job advertising what was still to come on the store page.

Nope all included with the game, it's just not finished yet.

There will be more characters too, 6 so far confirmed. You can pay for them win real money, but you earn fight money from playing online which can be used to buy characters.

IMO, not really a con job. There will not be any Super or Ultra versions of this game to rebuy either.

Yea thats what I was getting at, SFV 2nd edition type thing going on where you get the rest of the game and a new hat and cape at great expense

Going by capcoms past history a "souped up" version of this is a cert. Look how long they milked SF2 for back in the day with tinkered versions before a proper sequel appeared.

Well all updates are completely free (story mode, training, tournaments, lobbies etc), and costumes and characters can be earned by playing the game if you don't want to buy them.
 
So much for the rest of the game being free, 6 new characters costs you 24.99 for the season pass, gaming is such a scam now. Release half a game, then get charged again for the rest of it.

Buying full price, who the F is spending 70quid on street fighter for the whole set of characters you should a have in the first place and charging you for costumes, spending real money for a colour, mental, how did this all happen!

I have an ancient copy of cvg that discussed this possibility in the future and now its real

Again, you do not have to pay extra to get the additional characters. You can use currency earned in game to obtain them.

Capcom will only be releasing ONE version of SFV (this one) and that will be the base that everything gets put on top of.

I really don't think they are milking anyone for this.

Ok fair do's

If you didn't know better you would be forgiven for thinking that. Why are they trying to sting the uneducated into 25quid for the extra characters? when you can just unlock them, what numpty would willing spend 25 quid on them when they can just play the game, that season pass shouldn't exist, it serves only one purpose and that is catching people out.
