I use an arcade stick, but when i only had the 360 pad and a keyboard, i found the keyboard to be much better (except for Zangief). The dragon punch can be performed simply by ... holding down key, tap forward twice, then press punch. Thats the shortcut, if you want to do it the regular way, press forward (let go), hold down, then hold forward and punch. Easy peasy!

Almost anyother pad is a better option :p Sega Saturn pc pads being the ones to look out for ;)

Even better is an arcade stick. I myself am using this:

Another pleb question; just trying the Trials, some moves say [JUMP]+HK (for example), can't for the life of me work out how to do them. I realise I'm being a 'tard, but a little help? Admittedly I'm using the keyboard at present so might improve once I get a joypad..

..and on that note, Tekken has the practise mode that shows you how to do the moves, is there anything similar for SF IV?
 
Are Cavallino78 and yourrr mother still taking part in this?
I'm assuming Cav is, because of what was said in the PS3 league?

I like to get my games done, if you can't already tell :p

I'm pretty sure 'yourrr mother' hasn't even accepted my friends request yet, I am gonna sign on and check in a short while. If this is the case he is definately out, I don't recall him posting back in this thread to notify us that he's going away or anything.

Cavallino should be back this week, I am gonna tell him try get as many games out the way as possible.
 
hey, butting in on the disscussion on the pad issue. Can any one explain why the xbox pad is so bad for sf4. i'm a bit of a street fighter vet, i used to play the 2nd one in the arcades. I can do the specail moves ok and such but when it comes to the combos and so of the more faster actions the pad seems unresponsive.

I've also notice it on another game pro evo soccer 09 the anlog doesnt seem as responsive or acurate as my old logitech dual pad.

EDIT: Infact it would help to get a Gamertag wouldnt it :D

Hi mate, for more info please go to the 'street fighter IV' thread in the console section, you will get more replies there as to which controller is best and why etc.

Please keep this thread just to discuss the league, thanks!

Good to have you back Cav, once you have made your Windows ID, add everyone to your list and keep a pen and paper by your side and make a note of your scores, and any perfects. Do a day on the PC and the next day on the PS3 and rotate between em :p you should easily get most your games done as most the guys log on every day.

Ok guys I've just updated the table. Please can I remind you guys to confirm the score if your opponent posts it, because if you don't I have to go by that score anyway and you won't be able to dispute it at a later date!

Thanks, that one i made myself. Probably cost around £100 in total. Check this thread for making a custom stick http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17994446 or look at Madcatz HE and TE sticks if you'd rather buy.
