Streets of Rage 4

You kill the 2 guys, one cones from right with knife and one comes from behind.

Then it should move on.
 
Grabbed a decently cheap key today, the game is so much fun on an arcade stick!

I was planning to just use a DS4 but I decided to hook up my Razer Panthera I use for Tekken. Works like a charm, was surprised since I've read people had trouble with the game recognising some sticks.

Finding it pretty tough so far, though:p

I know it's great on arcade stick!!
I loved playing that sor remake on stick.

It's the windows app version that has issues with controllers. Steam version works great with stick.

If you want it easy way just pick streets of rage 1 alex and mash punch, it seems to beat everything.

I'll probably have to anyways since I might want to beat the game with every char, it's really fun so far:D

Just have to get used to stuff, it's been ages since I played a brawler but it feels very nice on stick. I started on normal and got to the end of stage 3, I'm not dying constantly but it can still be pretty challenging, which is good:p We'll see how it goes when I get used to the mechanics.
 
Yup, this game is definitely tough with 1p even on normal but I managed an 85 hit wall combo on the boss in Stage 8:D

Such little money for such great fun, seriously. And then there's co-op, online co-op, boss rush, arcade, unlockable legacy chars, 5 difficulty levels and potential DLC. It also looks great and the music is very solid.

A win in my book.
 
Got this is a Christmas present and it's an absolute blast.

Just waiting on my brother to stop dying from Covid so that we can do some co-op like the old days, SoR2 had to be 1 of our favourite games! :D
 
It's a blast for sure, i found it a little bit tougher than expected, whether im out of the genre for too long or what im not sure, streets of rage 2 is one of my favourite ever games, soundtrack and gameplay was so much fun, great times on the mega drive !!
 
They have done such a great job with the game, you can tell it was put together by people who are just absolutely nuts about the franchise.

I have it on 3 formats now with about 30+ hours gameplay on each so can play with all friends who own it and want to play co-op lol.

Soundtrack for 4 is incredible too, still sets the scene for the game in the same great way the originals did :)
 
Its an awesome game thats for sure :D It's definately harder than the Megadrive versions but when you realise the extra potential you have for damage the game does get easier. Extending combos by cancelling into specials and bouncing enemies off walls etc.

The devs have stated that they are currently working on three similar unannounced projects. I'm hoping for a Golden Axe 4.

Also if you like Streets of Rage, have a Google for Streets of Rage Remake, its a free fan made SoR game that combines all 3 original games into one title. Thats awesome also!
 
Finished it all off with all the main characters and unlocked everything.

I've had an insane amount of fun. I got it as a christmas present, thought it would be a 1 playthrough and I'm done affair, but I just love the gameplay, it's so satisfying!
I hope they bring out some DLC, would love a SoR4 version of Max to play as.
