Striker Extreme CPU INIT

Evidently not as productive as yours :) though I am only on air cooling.

My 8800gtx's (have 2) are both at 600/1400/1900.

Memory - sticking with the tighter latencies as opposed to higher FSB for now, still, 4gb (4 sticks) at 3-3-3-8/800 is pretty good going.

CPU - I have an older "B3" QX6800 which I've been struggling too keep cool from the get go. Even with a Thermalright 120 extreme, 4x Prime will see it break 80 degrees on all cores! ...a modest 3.1ghz is as much as I'm comfortable with (have BIOS 1301 at present).

I want the system to be as stable as possible as it is currently being used as a media server, for FTP transfers that routinely run through the night, daily backups of work as well as the multitude of games I hurl at it!
 
Try this:

Turn off power and remove CMOS battery.
Move the Jumper aswell as the CMOS reset button
Put one stick of RAM in the 3rd slot away from the CPU socket.

Wait 10 mins, put it all back and reboot.
 
Just had this error with mine tonight.Taking out all the ram and refitting it and it booted.Tempted to get another mb after this tbh.If i get p35 i can only use a single gtx though and the new 780 are too new and not sure id trust one.My first build i got the evga 760 A1 because i knew of the problems clocking quads.That board fried my ram first day and i had all settings on auto.Ordered another set of ram and that set fried before the pc even booted.Sent evga and 2 dead sets of ram back to overclockers and ordered another set of ram and a asus striker.But because i didnt write the rma number on 2 sides of the box overcllockers refused to take delivery and it got sent to belfast and is now lost.This was 6 months ago so its not going to be seen again and im out £500.The asus striker is very poor overclocker with quads and has holes all over the place with fsb.The only bios i can overclock with at all is the 1301.I spent £3500 on this pc with all the parts from overclockers.The dream pc with quad core and sli 8800gtx all very flakey.so where to go now guys ? p35 and give my bro one of my gtx or take a chance and go 780.

After you posted that in the other thread andy i tried your setting and it did post at the 450 fsb.But mine wont post at any fsb above 360 until 450.The evga mb was the same its a known issue but evga fixed it with mobo no ending A1.Asus didnt fix it anf the fsb has holes all over the place.Mine wont overclock at all with any bios other than 1301.I bought my board 7 months ago so maybe yours is newer and better than mine so all i can do is speak as i find.I spent £787 on my cpu and £217 on my mobo andy believing them to be the ultimate.What i got was ultimate headache instead and the loss off the £500 worth of dead evga and 2 gig ocz 9200 and 2 gig corsair 8500 that overclockers refused to take delivery of and is now lost.360 to 450 is one big hole in fsb.
