Stronghold Kingdoms ** - the world’s first castle based MMO - **

Ooh, that's a good point, I can probably get my 2nd city now, can't I?
What do I need to do, research and train a captain, then send him to an empty city somewhere?

Page is 14. :)
Army size is useful im currently needing atleast 70 archers on my walls to stop any major damage. When attacking wolves sending peasants (pikemen when you have them) take the hits from the wolves so your valuable archers dont die. Remember how easy a peasant is to train rather than waiting for another bow.
Im currently making a big push for rank 15 so i can get my 3rd village.

Nice one, I have just hit rank 13. Staying in wales now as in a really good parish.

How often do market prices change? Is it every 'tick' as well, or is that much slower, such as every hour or something?

Edit: Its realtime. Completely rethought my gameplan now :D

Prices fluctuate real time depending on stock levels. Trading is where te money is. Buy apples for 13 sell for 100. Maxing out transportation next so I can getz the goldz

Finally got moats researched now. I have a castle with moat....... looks awesome.

I am taking the path of peace route with a defensive army only. Trading and foraging nice and relaxed, relying on careful village planning to get honour.

At 20 peasants per village and getting 20k honour per day from my 2 villages.

That's exactly what I'm doing mrk, I need more speed though!

You only need to research 50 % in transportation to get a great speed boost. Maxed out it must be epic. Got to do stockpile capacity next. Been buying my weapons rather than making as works out more cost effective as can produce way more sellable goods to raise the cash saving on man power.

Got attacked by 1st wave Ai camp and they didn't make it through the fence at my main village. 80 archers seem to do it. Aiming for 300 archers asap.

Our parish is just making balistas which will be fun. Got our producing guilds at levels 7 and 8 which makes a massive difference. Almost rank 14 now. Bring on a faction.

Currently at 200% and 1hour to 250%. It seems the perfect way to make easy money, some of the price differences between the various markets here are crazy!

Started last week on this. Up to level 11. My castle got spanked by an AI army of 130 peasants and 20 pikemen. That's what I get for sending out too many troops to attack wolfs lairs at once. DOH.

Lv13, and a siege camp just set up in my main city's parish, so I'm looking forward to a large honour bonus for killing them all :D
~100 peasents, 30 archers, 20 pikemen.
Got 70 archers, a big castle, 3 balista and a tunnel to kill them all, plus Lv2 sally forth.

Finally hit rank 14, now to find a faction.

Oooo can build balista towers in my castle to now......sweeeeet

Oh and my villages still look like the basic church hall + one hovel from the global map screen :)

I had 3 attacks on my parish. I got pwned there. I had 1 attack on my village which the attacker won. He then attacked again with a Captain, I JUST got some defences in place before he attacked. I killed his captain and only just lost. He then attacked today with 70 peasants which I quashed. But, then he attacked again with a new captain . I couldn't hold up to this attack so gave away my resources. Made an ally and moved.

The attacker was a rank above me and I really didn't stand much chance beining the strongest in my parish with no allegiances. Grew too fast too quick. I think there is a strategy in getting to rank 11 then upping roots.

Unless you end up in a good parish it can be a pain. Equally if you grow too quick you can attract the wrong attention. I am still happy that I got myself to rank 14 in the end with two villages that look nothing on the map after having the same thing happen to me . I will post pics of the castles I have built later. Now almost up to 30k honour per day and still only have a 20 villagers per village. Next village will be set up for pitch.

It still feels more efficient to trade needed items which have slow production rather than produce. Weapons being a good example. I feel like some ghetto arms dealer at the moment whilst I stock up.

Hey just a quick update my build speed has slowed but im rank 15 now and a squire plus im in the main faction in hampshire. Just getting my 3rd village but their is no empty slots around me.

The one guy that tried pillaging me got all his villages taken away from him by my friends.

Nice,

Have you bothered with researching theology for monks, churches etc. Does it have any use at this stage?

I'm Lv13 and not touched anything like that. I'm currently working on castle tech, as the attacks against me are starting to ramp up, so I'm finally getting to work on my super castle :3
