Stud wall

Well I've not started painting yet so it should be properly dry by the time I do :D

Used up the leftover plasterboard and rockwool slab relining the internal walls of my daughter's bedroom where the original lath & plaster had blown/cracked/split. That was a messy job!

Nasty lumpy-bumpy & split old stuff

And some nice(ish) new board. I hadn't quite finished by this point on the saturday night but I had an appointment at the pub.

Plasterer comes again on Friday

Bit of an update as we finally decorated the living & dining rooms.

Thanks to all for your help & advice. We now have a lovely cosy living room and the dining room feels much bigger as a defined space, instead of most of it being a thoroughfare.

I like it mate, vast improvement, it's made the room a bit smaller I guess but that was always going to be dead space. Just need to box those leccy meters in next :D

Thanks!

Our actual space used for the living room is exactly the same as before as we've always had the hall space as just that. Any it feels an ok size when you're in it, the bay window helps a fair bit with that.

The leccy meter was boxed in with awful varnished 3/4" pine boards and pillarbox red fretted MDF, which I ripped out to make room for a new consumer unit. Going to be replaced with a nice white boxing in 6mm mdf. I've already got the doors made up, just need a free afternoon to knock the frame together.

Yea, it's a Victorian terrace, lounge at front & dining room behind (with kitchen at back). Previous owners knocked the hall/lounge/diner into one so we've reinstated the original walls with studwork but added a double doorway between the two rooms.

I'll try to get a better picture showing both rooms.
