It's an OS, not a lifestyle. Admittedly, I'm sure some use it as a vain attempt to get some sort of recognition because they haven't gone with the paradigm of buying a Windows box, but to suggest nearly all Mac users are evangelical about their own hardware and software is just plain stupid.
I own a Mac. I own Windows boxes and I have a couple of Laptops running Ubuntu, and if anything I harp on about Linux. I've been using computers since I was 4 when I used AmigaDOS, and I've been though quite a few different computers and operating systems in my time. I know quite a bit about the ins and outs of Windows, and I'm learning how OS X and Linux function as well, so I'd say I'm pretty non-bias.
But, I prefer OS X. If others want to shallowly harp on about it to get some sort of attention, that's up to them, but don't just generalise all people who use macs into one rather shoddily constructed demographic, it smacks of ignorance :/
