Stupid MAC users

I work tech support at a college and I find that the biggest morons we come across are those that use MACs. Not only are they morons but they are generally odd people, drama queens and daddys little princess type people, and thats just the guys...

Admitadly 90% of these users are from the arts depatments, games pro, music tech, photography, CAD, art, film students etc. Which for some reson now seems to cater to every social missfit in society, Students and teachers.. half of the staff look like bag heads and by the way they walk around give the impression that they are wired on something or other most of the time. I studied art at the same college back in the 90s and it just wasnt like that..

So my experience with the average MAC user at my work..

Potheads
Alcaholics
Drama Queens
Waisters
Stupid people bordering retardation
"me me me me" people

and the like. Infact about 90% of the MAC users i know from everywhere are like this. (i know the odd normal type who uses one).

So I have to wonder about the type of Mac users you guys come across..?
 
Same here, dealt with Mac and PC users and Mac users are just....weird. Much weirder than PC programmers, which is saying something. At least programmers know what they're talking about.
 
I can't help saying that there are a few Mac users around that are like that, but the large majority aren't too bad.

In a way, we are all weird. We are using p[roducts made from people who look like this:

Nope its sunday I haven't had to deal with the morons sinse friday :) infact my dealings with MAC users is limited thankfully as im a PC based tech. My friend who works at the college though who has to deal with these people daily as he is the MAC tech hates his job.. hmm wait despises his job because of these people.. ;) he would be one of the few normal MAC users I know.. well normal ish

heh nice. siblings shouldnt bread with oneanother eh ;)

our actual office is almost exactly like the IT crowd. a fact of which i am proud
 
Who would have thought that nerdy looking kid in the bottom left would become the worlds richest man? I bet the jocks in his school are now a bit jealous :-)
 
I'm in no way a Microsoft fanboi, but i have to admit that from all the clients i have installed, the MAC users all tend to be 'holier than thou' and very prissy about their precious MACS. I had to label all the machines in an office once and after labeling the MAC, i saw the user slowly peel the sticker off (and promptly discard it) then carefully polish and wipe where it was! haha

But as annoying and stuck up as the users may be (sweeping generalisation? never! ;)) at least we get very few calls from them, as they never really tend to break :D
 
I have an irrational hatred of all things Apple (with the exception of fruit), but the Mac users I know are generally fine.

I'm getting tired of some of them trying to convince me that I'd be better off using a mac for productivity an consoles for gaming though.
 
I'd admit some of them are quite bad and have to dislike a number of zealots I've met. Most of them are just gone with it though, not much you can do about it I'm afraid...

Apart from whining about it a computer hardware forum that is...
 
it's because, increasingly, macs are becoming style accessories for the type of people described in the OP.
 
Now i'm a mac convert but the only other person i know that is a fan of mac's is my uncle who earns far too much money and gets a new one every year.

neither of us fit the description of the op tho.....

just noticed some finger prints on my 7 yr old mac.... must go and clean it off!
 
We don't have any Macs where I work. I've got two users have are Mac owners, one of them is an absolute star, the other one needs to be re-educated on a frequent basis and hasn't checked his emails in about 4 years. Nice chap though.
 
im a Mac User (yes btw its Mac, MAC is MAC Adressing)

anyway, i use all 3 Os's on a daily basis and dont fit your description although.

Mac Users seem to enjoy there Mac a lot more than they would a PC i think this is why they are this way.

I personally admit i love OSX its very good, but i also like Vista and Ubuntu.

if OSX Supported DX10 + Had Support of STEAM EA ID Rockstar id switch full time.
 
Such a pointless thread.

Some Mac users are tools, some Windows users are tools, some Linux users are tools.

What more is there to say?
