stuttering on 4k file.

Have tried 3 files and all stutter.

what sample was it ? don't have a 4k tv but just bought a q android box that can do 4k i found a few on here http://www.download4k.info some played choppy on wifi but fine on a wired connection from my nas.

i have decent router so don't know why i suspect the wi fi in the tv box is inferior to my laptop.as speed tests are not as good.
 
(ok maybe bing is better than google :) ) - hijack, well my, motivation

4K encodes (new go pro etc) typically using hevc codec & for same 'quality' as mpeg-4 takes 30% less space; to decode without stuttering, will need to be the android box mentioned or an nvidia shield (fire4k no good).
Can encode 1080p with hevc too, for reduced space, but that will, typically, also need same decoder only available in said boxes.
[utube using vp9 codec that also needs good hardware decoder- so the '4k' box is future proofing - at a price]

Plus, yes, with the typically higher bitrate for 4K encode, even if you downscale to 1080p will be better than many lower bitrate 1080p encodes (see reviews on netflix 4k stream 18Mb/s only being as good as 1080p blue - so maybe 'wasted' on a 4k display)​
