What about the pb1000? Seems well regarded too

Depends on your expectations. I've got the PB1000 and don't feel I'm lacking bass for films, 12x13ft room that opens out into a similar sized dining room.

Just had a demo of the svs sb 1000 Pro and wow itts awesome so much tighter than the monitor audio one. Thank you all so much for the advice it's now on my final list of new setup

They were better value until the prices went up substantially. Still a good sub just not as good value as they were. If I had the spare cash though a pair would be very nice.

How cheap were they, there's a UK seller selling the black for £420 which looks a steal.

Sorry ignore me I see SB not PB mentioned. The SB are a fair bit cheaper. The PB were under £600 now about £850.

Take it that’s the pro model? The standard pb1000 and sb1000 are around £400

Yes the pro. The old model seems to be over £500 from what I have seen.
