Nope, you just get listed or you don't.*

And in my experience they are extremely strict (to the point of bing anal) so if your site isn't perfect when it gets reviewed then it will be another 6 months before it will be reconsidered.

I'm not a fan of DMOZ myself. I personally believe they are a bunch of elitist losers who have way more power over the net than they deserve. But meh... As website creators we are their bitches.

*Actually this is at the editors discretion. When one of my sites got listed on DMOZ the editor of that section actually joined my forum and told me about it there, although I imagine it's rather rare for this to happen.

Thanks.

If you could offer any input to my other thread I would appreciate it,

Well as has already been mentioned in that thread it should just be a matter of waiting for google to update it's records. The same thing happened to me a while back.

In the meantime though, (if possible) it's probably worth leaving a php file at the old address which redirects people to the new address.

Let me know if you need the php code for redirecting.

Having another major problem here!

I created a htaccess directory and uploaded the .txt file, now the whole website won't load and the directory had disappeared and I cannot find it to delete it.

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What can I do?

Johnny.

I'd contact my host and ask them what was going on. But I guess it may be worth posting the contents of the htaccess file here and maybe someone will be able to help with that.
