Okay, so I just purchased OCUK's Workstation Pro Bundle;
Bundle Specification
- CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz @ 4.50GHz Sandybridge CPU
- Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard ** B3 REVISION **
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
- Cooler: Corsair A50 CPU Cooler
At the moment, I'm running on an old Tagan 700watt PSU, with braided cables.
I'm looking to get a modular PSU, because the braided cables, which sounded like a good idea when purchased it, have proved to be THE biggest annoyance I've ever experienced, when doing anything inside a computer.
However, my budget is now fairly small, having just spent £600 on my new rig. (And I still need to get a HDD on top of this!) How powerful a PSU am I going to need? (That's the one thing that I've never been sure about when building a system!)I'm assuming that a 550W Corsair TX won't do the job?
