Suggest me a HSF

otherside like mine:) have it blowing air thru the heatsink then extracted by the case fans:)

Okay, cool.

Just out of interest, what's your CPU and what temps you get?

I read a review and the FX-57 got 54 load and 37 idle which I think is excellent for such a powerful processor (does the FX-57 produce more heat then an Intel 530 3.0GHZ Sckt 775?)

--Edit--
Was just thinking, it's gonna be cooled very well when I get a wavemaster - intake from front --> through cpu --> out the back :)
--/Edit--

--Edit 2--
Yeah the coolermaster does only have one back fan :(
2 intakes though
I might get the PC-7, but I've been wanting the coolermaster wavemaster for quite a long time now
--/Edit 2--

Thx

Thx

ive got an opteron 148 running 200mhz faster than an fx-57 (that's 3 ghz lol) and i was loading at 53 earlier today in this heat. in the cooler months it was around 47-48c :)

edit: i thought the wavemasters have one 80mm exhaust? if you havent got it already, id seriously concider something with 120mm case fans like a pc7+ or a thermaltake sunami:)

I found i couldn't fit my corsair ram under it on my a8n32 sli deluxe. Its the ram with the flashy leds, probably XMS3200 Pro DDR like yours. I was only testing the ram thankfully, normal sized ram fits under ok and can be removed without taking the heatsink out.

This is how i had it a while ago, graphics card taken out:

This is my current setup, with the seasonic that i had to rma:

Since then i've added a duct to the panaflo and put a side fan with its edge on the front of the nexus.

Answered your edit in my last reply :)
Nice heats with that processor - I'm guessing that CPU will produce more heat than my Intel 530 3.0GHZ?

sort the wiring out  lol

also i lied about how many fans i have. i have two case fans, not 1 lol.

yeah i would concider something else. wavemasters arent suppposed to be extremely cooling-friendly at the best of times.

I did, made it better than that and 3 days later had to rma the psu!
So i'm back to my messy coolermaster half braided one in the first pic until i get a new seasonic.
Its a big case, but believe me its packed with kit. Extremely heavy too.

As for fans, i currently have 3 coolermaster 120mm led fans, the panaflo, the nexus, 3 40mm fans on the voltage regulators, one 40mm fan on the ram, another 40mm fan on the gpu voltage regulators and the fan in the ac silencer. Its quiet too apart from the psu.

I have a further 2 coolermaster led fans, 2 akasa blue led fans, the scythe fan and a standard coolermaster fan elsewhere...

Well, a friend of mine is running 2x 6800GT SLI, 1GB XMS3200 Pro DDR, FX-55 w/ stock HSF fine in that case, so I'm pretty sure it'll handle my spec:

3GHZ 530 1MB L2
200GB SATA
6800GT - probably be a 6800GS soon as the GT is slightly faulty
1GB Corsair XMS3200 Pro DDR.

If I do majorly upgrade and have heat problems with the upgrade I can always get a PC-7 for it, they're only about £60.

if i had a choice between them, it would be the pc7+ every time mate. i don't think you'll find many peopel at all recommending the wavemaster over the pc7+ here lol

That's just for cooling though, I really like the PC-7 Lian-Li but I've been looking at the Wavemaster for a lot longer than the PC-7.

As I said I can always get a PC-7 if a future upgrade makes everything too hot - they're only £60 and I'll be getting £30 a week next year (not going to get any major upgrades before then) so that won't be a problem getting one if I have to.

The wavemaster is a great looking case but its a pig to cool.

It'll do a better job than this won't it?:

Currently I'm using the fan that came on the side to cool the hard drive, it's doing a good job on that but not really spreading the air anywhere else as the intake holes on the front are extremely small. I also have 2 akasa fans on the back that don't move very much as they're practically silent. So basically the air flow isn't too good at the moment, so won't the wavemaster cool better than my current?

Oh, also the wavemaster comes with a kit to convert the top plugs into an intake fan which will probably help a lot.

the tuniq isn't so much better as that review would have you think. to start with, it uses a louder 120mm fan than the scythe (2000rpm ~36db vs 1200rpm on the scythe), secondly other reviews put it *just* in front of the zalman cnps-7700cu and third....its more expensive.

http://www.ocia.net/reviews/tuniq/page6.shtml

that review puts it 1c ahead of an xp90c at full pelt. i know my scythe is better than my xp90c.

I didn't say best at cooling. ;)
I still maintain that its the best because i think the Tuniq Tower 120 makes some compromises.

And comparing two heatsinks with different fans is hardly fair, i know its the fans they come with but if you spent the extra money it costs to get the Tuniq Tower 120 on a high airflow fan for the ninja it would probably perform better.
Or even if you put the fan from the Tuniq Tower 120 on the ninja, that would give a better idea.
