*** Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League *** (Rocksteady)

Once the GAAS crap was revealed, any hopes I had for this went down the toilet. I just hope Rocksteady don't suffer too much in the aftermath in terms of job losses etc.
Sadly, if this turns out as badly as expected, it's hard to imagine Rocksteady will survive unscathed.

The Arkham games were fantastic for their time and still are, I was really hoping that Suicide Squad would be just as good. I may well still pick it up, if for nothing else the storyline which going by Reddit is rather good.

I only played Arkham Asylum and the main story of the 2nd one. Do I need to have played the third? Or I may just give the third one a go.

Just watched Skilups vid on it. What a disaster of a launch, then they tried to take IGN on. I loved the Arkham games but this definitely looks like a backwards step. Not a fan of all the neon flashes everywhere. Will be giving it a miss until /unless it hits gamepass.

I'll likely pick this up on PC a month or so down the line. Player feedback seems a bit of a mixed bag at the moment, some probably tainted by the bad launch.

I saw a Youtube short of Kevin Conroy's final ever appearance as Batman in this game.

Batman gets brainwashed/mind controlled by Brainiac and is later shot in the head by Harley Quinn, on a park bench

I know it's "Kill the Justice League", but what were they thinking with that as a send off?

Unless there is a scene later revealing that he didn't die - but even so!

I caved...ordered the game on PC, a number of Steam comments are positive and I really just fancy zipping around a large open city bashing stuff.......and those screenshots of Harley's rear are far to tempting.

Initial impressions of Suicide Squad, it's not half bad. Controls are as hard as anything to get used to, so many to remember, but quite a lot of fun to use to zip around the map. Graphics are really nice as well. Story looks to be really well presented and the banter is really good between the rest of the squad. Performance seems a little off, get the odd stutter here and there, but I suspect a patch or two will resolve that. Probably not far enough in to the game yet, but I can't see people playing this for extended periods unless the endgame is something else.

People are probably just disappointed. Rocksteady was once a developer to look out for. I cant believe what happened with them.

I've seen a few say initially it's good, but it ends up not being worth it.
The lack of posts in here suggest this will be yet another live service failure. I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole.
If it looks like a live service mess, sounds like a live service mess, and reviews like a live service mess... I'll see several roadmaps, apologies, discounts, and then a free-to-play version within the year. :D

Oh boy, so much negativity about this game. Gameplay looks fun but I can see how quickly people will get bored with this game.
I saw so much early negativity online with the usual go woke go broke crowd on twitter before they had even played it. Then the rage at peoples fav hero getting killed in a game called Kill the Justice League. Then that turned to rage about it being a disservice to Kevin Conroy. Now people have played it I see a lot more positivity which is unusual with the way twitters algorithm works once I've viewed that much negativity. I very much want to play this but will wait for a price cut.

I really fancy playing the first one again, if it runs on the series X and is back compatible.
