and Llorente?!?

He already agreed a move to Juve. Its already Official.

Neither I have any idea how they will fit in. I've been hearing that Juve are ready to sell all their currant strikers,.

Bendtner - End of loan
Anelka - End of Contract
Iaquinta - End of Contract
Matri - ~12M
Quagliarella ~15M
Giovinco ~12M
Vucinic 15M-20M

They might keep Vucinic. Conte wants to start playing 4-3-3 next season, so they will probably have Vucinic - Hig - Jovetic with Llotente (and a few others) as a sub.

A bit crazy I know :p

Why are people saying Rooney is worth ~40M.

Imo, he is worth 20M tops.

All average/good strikers manage to score goals in good teams. Rooney is in now way world class, or even close to that.

Makes me lol when people say stuff like '20m tops', people seem to forget players like Bent moved for 18m and Andy Carroll for 35m and not to mention it cost us around 25m to bring Rooney to the club in the first place back in 2004

Like Rotty said 40m is probably pushing it but I'd expect the club at the very least to recoup that 25m if not make a 5-10m profit
Anything than 40M for a player is too much imo. Because apart from the fee up front, you pay him some €10 a season (excl. bonuses) , which is a lot of money for ANY player. For every 60/70/80/90M player, you can buy 2/3 players for the same price, who in combination, are just as good.

yes, you do get players who are bought/sold for a very high price, but that doesn't mean it is justified is it? I can go and spend 50M for some unknown 18 year old, but just because I spent it, it doesn't mean that it was money well spend.

Now maybe these teams desperately needed a player, they had a few extra M they could spend, and that was the best they could get at that time. Imo, it just shows a lack of planning. That is why teams end up with a negative balance.
There's also the fact that we bought a 29 year old RVP with less than a year on his contract for 24m so again are we really saying that a 27 year old Rooney with 2 years left on his contract is worth less than that?

Yes, but RVP is twice the player Rooney is, and from what I have seen, he showed it (although yes, Rooney did play a bit deeper, not in his position).

Its a strange one this. He's going to be second fiddle to Messi. I dont think this is where Barca need to be putting their money. Its like finding a hole in your jumper and buying a new pair of trousers.

Anyone knows the fee? I read €58M

I think they will play some sort of 4-3-3 with Pedro - Neymar - Messi, or Neymar - Fabregas (Fake 9) -Messi.

One person from Villa and Sanchez needs to leave though. Villa, Messi, Sanchez, Pedro, Neymar and Tello. Seems like there is one too many.

I can't really see how Chelsea can manage to sell Torres.

He hasn't been too good for Chelsea (15 in 82 according to Wikipedia), and I would assume Chelsea would want a 'good' sum for him, considering he was bought for £50M. Apart from that, his wages ain't cheap.

Best thing would be wait till his contract expires. Its a shame he is still 'young'.

Does anyone follow the Ligue 1 here? How highly would you rate Lille manager Rudi Garcia? He's been mentioned a lot with Roma, as apparently he wants to leave. Is he ready to guide a team to the top of the table (although I know he won a Ligue 1 title a few years back) and what formation does he play?

Where's the brucey wobbly legs gif when you need it :p

Di Rossi? Off to Chelsea? or just english media guff

If you asked me 2 season ago, I would have said 100% no.

If you had asked me last season I would have said 90% no.

If you ask me today, I would say 50% no.

he was terrible last season, very much below what is expected from him. He earns 6M a season, which is quite a lot for the Serie A. Roma are contemplating selling hi for around €20M, and help that fund other transfers.

The Roma fans, who used to be very protective of DDR, have boo-ed him all through the season, and at the end of the Coppa Italia final vs Lazio, he was one of the main targets of criticism from the fans.

Everything points to his sale, except one thing, maybe the most important. His love for the place. Has born in Rome, and he wants to end his career at Roma. This criticism may have influenced that decision slightly, so he may be off.

I wouldn't be surprised if he left, either for Chelsea or for Real.

Good luck :D:D:D:D:D:D

I have just read that the official window doesn't open until today. Teams can freely negotiate into contract talks before hand but officially transfer can't take place until this date until the 31st August? Is that right?

As far as I know, the English transfer window officially opens today. The Italian (and some other European countries) opens on the 1st August.

I think.

In Italy, there are a lot of roumors that City want Osvaldo if Negredo doesn't join (for about €20) and Arsenal/Tottenham want Pjanic for around €20M-€25M

What is being said in the English papers?
