Why? The idea of innocent until proven guilty's made a joke of unless it's stood by - there are obviously reasonable exceptions, for example an alleged paedo teacher, who's suspended from work until it's sorted out... or an accused rapist who works at the same place as their accuser... etc. But someone whose crime is unrelated to their work should be treated as innocent until proven guilty... it shouldn't merely be spoken of as being the case.

I had money on you posting a reply to my comment and posting something along these lines :D.

Ched Evans was allowed to carry on playing right until the day of his court appearance. If it had been 1 week later, we would have been promoted. :p

:D.

I was about to laugh and say Welbeck's ratio is better than that.

But it isn't :(

Haha! :D.

Santos has left Arsenal too! I totally missed this! Brilliant that Arsenal were able to find another club willing to take these players on!

Hasn't Fabregas said he does not want to go and Barcelona that they are not selling him?

Fabregas hasn't said anything. Just as Wayne Rooney hasn't.

The club have said he isn't for sale, just as Man United have said with Rooney too.

Yet one is 'certain' to leave and the other not, apparently.

Fabregas said he didn't want to leave at the start of the Window I thought?

Nah, he has kept quiet thus far but the entire Barca team and their extended family have gone out of their way to tell us that they are sure he doesn't want to leave but that they haven't spoken to him about it.

It does have some nice parallels to the Rooney saga. Both are not saying anything and both have been subject to insulting bids from the clubs pursuing them. I wouldn't put it past Mourinho to just be doing this to screw with United to be honest.

He hasn't said anything at all, same as Rooney.

Tito said that he spoke to Fabregas in, or at the end, of the season and believed he would stay. That is all - since then it's been team mates saying they believe he will stay.

It's also gone from 'definitely not for sale' to the manager saying 'Cesc will decide where/if he goes'.

Well one is angry and confused and has expressed his unhappiness at his current club before etc one hasn't. I think thats thr difference

Rooney is not the sharpest tool in the shed and that was based on Moyes making a bit of a gaffe when he said that if RvP gets injured then Rooney would be there to lead the line.

Again, there was no direct quote from Rooney saying he was angry and confused as far as I know. It was another "sources close to the player say that Rooney was angry and confused" and that was far too good a quote to let slip. :p

The Chelsea bid is only to weaken United.

Maureen has no intention at all of playing Rooney, he just recognises he has a chance to drastically weaken his direct title opponents.
Same as City did with their direct competitors for fourth.

Slow slow transfer day for all today. Wenger has said we might not sign anyone before our Champs League qualifiers. Does that mean he has some lined up dependant on us progressing or just wishful thinking?

Slow news day?
Well this is worth a watch, mainly because of Jason Sudeikis the new Spurs coach.
Tottenham Spurs :D
This is actually really good news for me living over here.

I think any signings will be dependent on qualifying for the champions league. If we do, then it will be a case of panic buying again :o

He has already done his customary pre-season "we are good enough to challenge for titles with the team we have" speech so I wouldn't hold your breath.

The premier league really needs to look into transfer dealings because they seem to cause a lot of injuries these days. Rooney, Bale and Suarez are all constantly injured at the moment.
