And so it begins:p...our injury list builds up :/. Not looking good for us come the start of the season :/

Someone at Arsenal, whether it be Wenger or the board is getting it very wrong so far on the transfer front. Something just isnt right because we have let so many players go but havent bothered to replace majority of them.

I'm a little disappointed that we've lost out on Gustavo, he would have been the perfect addition to our midfield. So far the whole window has been a disappointment but it's probably worth waiting until after it has closed before we judge too much.

My favourite Transfer story of the day is that Manchester United are scouting Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Hi, David, it's Robbie. Yeah, he's still the best player in the World."

A couple of the youth players will be played this season, add the previous midfielders who will have gotten better and Man Utd will annihilate everyone in their path this season.

Either way, we're finishing above City

Why?? they are strengthening in the areas they need to unlike Arsenal. I dont think Bale will be leaving this summer myself, doesnt seem like Real have the money to spend on him even though anything over £40mill is far far too much for him.

They keep Bale and they will definitely get 4th and might even challenge for the PL title and other trophies. They have a strong squad although im hoping they all flop:p

It will take time for them to gel. I don't expect them to be a cohesive unit at least untill the second half of the season. That's if they get it right at all.

Interesting quotes from Willian these evening. Big fingers crossed for Liverpool fans. Google translate to the rescue.

A few weeks ago Manchester City made a bid of 40 million euros to Anzhi for you, that this offer was refused. This happened before the crisis burst, before Suleyman Kerimov choose to cut investment in the club. What are your expectations now? Think by the end of this transfer window, ie until the end of August you will be player probably an English club?

've seen several sites, news of some clubs interested and my expectation is certainly great. I do not know the club, but is expected to play in a big club. As they promised they will help me out for which place I want to go, then I'm cool. I know if I get something I will get good news.

The "Guardian, the British newspaper much credibility, said in recent days that Liverpool prepares an offer of 35 million euros for you. Till now, after everything that happened, there has been no official proposal?
For now it's just the same , conversations. Officer had no guess. As you said, was Manchester City who just refused and it's been a while. Now I'm hoping, of course, in the coming days to receive an offer from a club like Liverpool. If even Liverpool, it sure is a great club.'m hopeful and peaceful hoping for the best.

I will insist in the Premier League. Tottenham can "lose" Bale for 100 million euros and there would be a club that would enter the fray for you too. There Arsenal, Chelsea, I will not ask you the preference for such a club, but England is your goal?

Absolutely. Of course England is a league that many dream of playing and I'm not diferete. I love the Premier League, much like the style of English football, and certainly if it happens will be good for me, for my image. 'll Grow professionally, are a Cup year and surely this will be a showcase for me. Not that I'm going there to be summoned, but sure I will have more chances, more appear. It is a goal, but the Spanish league is a league interesting, I really like the Italian is also a league that I like. The important thing is I'm happy.

Darren Bent to sign #ffc loan with view to permanent deal tmw after more medical stuff this evening. Renewed contact from #Nufc this morning & greater willingness to do business, apparently, but on way to Craven Cottage by then.

No doubt he'll do well at Fulham.

Sod it

If that's not a come and get me plea I don't know what is. Come on BR get on it!

The problem that Arsenal and Wenger seemingly have, is they want to buy players at THIER OWN prices, not at the prices the selling club wants.

Yep thats pretty much how Wenger and Arsenal operate now, we could have a billion in the bank and they wouldnt spend a penny:p

I rate Willian & think he would be a good addition to the majority of Premier League (and maybe a number of European) clubs, well from what I've seen of him, read about him type of thing.

All things point to it being a good signing if Liverpool can pinch him, of course, football is never that simple and nor does anyone care what I think :D.

Is it a come and get me plea, really, did he say he wanted LIverpool to bid for him, or was he asked about a potential bid and from the translation appeared to be saying even if it was "just" Liverpool he'd be interested....

As with almost every player, manager, coach, scout, you don't burn bridges, you don't say "Liverpool, lol, they can't afford my wages, I'd prefer to go anywhere else" because that might be the only forthcoming bid and depending on how desperate he is to leave Russia he might take anything that came along. This is the kind of nonsense that gets asked by a hundred different reporters that get a hundred different answers. Mourinho in EVERY country(except Spain) where he was interviewed was asked if he'd like to manager in whatever country that was and in EACH case said he'd love to manage there. The English press say he's desperate to get back to the EPL because the English press asked him about England, the Italian press asked him about managing in Italy, etc, etc, etc.

I've incredibly rarely seen players burn their bridges for no reason, and I've seen players talk up how great a move to a dozen clubs would be before finally moving somewhere else entirely. If he came out and just in a random interview told everyone he wanted Liverpool to buy him, that is one thing, but saying " If even Liverpool, " which I read as "even if its only Liverpool, they aren't that bad" which I took the meaning to be "even if only Liverpool bid they can maybe pay one player a huge wage... its not like they are Wigan", and all that after being asked about apparent interest from liverpool.... a come and get me plea, lol.
