That said I think we need a LB and a CB more than we need Willian or Lamela. If we get those 2 and a CB/LB I might melt down.

I'm just getting bored of all the furore now. All this speculation. I will wait until end of transfer window and then be happy.

All these players means great football but I am not going to start getting above my self thinking we can win the league or even take 4th indefinitely. I been a Spurs fan too long to realise it can all end badly come the end of the season a la the last 2 seasons.

If he did come to Arsenal, he would be the main man which is what he wants. Only problem is his wage demands unless hes willing to take a wage cut.

I never said Cesc wanted to move to us, it's more realistic for a player to move from one top club to another than from a top club to a team that rarely challenges though isn't it?

If he wants to move for money then surely Arsenal can't offer that, if he wants to move for trophies then surely Arsenal can't offer that?

It just seems like an odd thing after failing to get a player from a club at your level to then go for a player from the champions!

I think the Rooney move would actually make sence for him..

He will be the 'main man' again, as he was in his hay day at United..

Now RVP has took his spot he may be unsettled by that.

Arsenal don't have a forward leader (like RVP). Rooney could be that, Boosting the team and his ego (not in a bad way) at the same time.
 
Wouldn't mind taking Flamini back, also I very much doubt Podolski will be sold this summer, there's no reason to sell him. I'm pretty sure the same rumour was doing the rounds in January and again at the end of the season, probably because we haven't sold any key players this season, just like those Cazorla to Atletico rumours which were around at one point. :p

Apparently United have tabled a £35m join bid for Fellaini and Baines now.

I would say that is more than fair for them really. Baines is getting on a bit and Fellaini is good but not great. If no one used his £23m buyout clause that would suggest that no one values him at that much. £20m for Fellaini and £15m for Baines is not bad for either team. I just wonder if Everton will stop Baines leaving as he is so vital to their attacking play.

I think Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United & Liverpool are all more than capable of getting a top four spot. Don't spend all your effort bitching about who's got the better squad, (remember that mental Spurs fan who claimed Spurs had the second best squad in the League years back? :D) just enjoy what is going to be a fantastic twelve months of football!

I think there are a number of other clubs that are going to be seriously looking at a top ten finish too, so yeah, can not wait to watch more football this season.

You have to admit though that it's frustrating to be in the second game of the season and playing people out of position when we knew we were short at the back. Everyone fit, I would happily go into the season with just a striker.

But arsenal are more famous for injuries than trophies these days :p

Yeah but we have made it harder for our selves playing against weaker opponents in the past. It was the result we needed.

I'm a little worried about fullham though. They actually have a strong first eleven.

We lose that we will be back in the media headlines and it's going to start effecting team morale as well as fan base morale.

Yep like i said as great a victory as it was last night, it just papered over teh cracks in our squad.

Fulham is an important game for us to win but as you said they have a good squad.

Would you think it was a joke if Aston Villa said they were going to win the title or if Norwich said they would get top 5. Newcastle are a mess and he thinks they are going to beat Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Everton etc to steal 5th place. Do me a lemon.
