Indeed Chelsea started all the crazy money being spent then City joined in as well:(. Up until then it was really only Real spending stupid amounts of money for players. Now you have PSG, Monaco, Bayern, Barca and a few other european teams making signings but paying over the top for them.

I have faith in the tightfisted frenchman that he will make some signings, he knows we need to strengthen some positions in our team to make a real challenge this yr for trophies and the PL title but with time running down, it will mean he will have to pay top dollar for mediocre players and get shafted with the higher class of players.

At the moment our squad is decent enough, if they can stay fit but we all know how injury prone our players are so im pretty sure Wenger will make a few signings...he needs to or else things will go very bad when we get more long term injuries.
 
Read into this as you will but according to @LaurensJulien Juan Mata Senior (Mata's father obviously, but who is also his agent) is in the directors box at the Emirates this evening.

Not at this point in the window there isnt but earlier this summer, there was quite a few players we could have bought if Wenger didnt waste his time on chasing Suarez;).

Who knows, as i said im waiting to see what players he brings in and how he strengthens the side. Sadly we arent Chelsea or City where we can splash £50 or £60mill on a player and pay them stupid wages only for them to flop ie Torres;) but still manage to compete and win trophies. Thats the difference between us and Chelsea/City and even Utd to an extent.

Giggity giggity lol...probably nothing in it tbh but it would be nice to see him play for us. But sadly i cant see it happening ie Chelsea selling him to us. To me he has been Chelsea's best player since he signed for them and god only knows why Mourinho has frozen him out....could be that Mourinho doesnt like the Spanish players anymore because of his tenure at Real:confused:
 
As a Chelsea fan I don't even want Rooney now. There's no guarantee he'll perform for us either. Just seems like a waste of money. We need a young fit hungry striker for the future not a burger eating machine :D
 
I wouldn't call Torres a flop, its just Chelsea has a large number of attacking midfielders. Ba, Lukaku and Torres are technically all flops at Chelsea aswell then, they go anywhere else and they'll start scoring. If Wenger doesn't sign a new contract next season, your new manager will spend then, I'd laugh if it is Mancini as I can't think of another manager who is available

United don't spend a lot on players.

It was weird that Jose didn't start any Spaniards yesterday and when he subs, he brings Torres on and Cesar for 5 seconds at the end. Good thing he didn't put Mata on :)

LOL Torres isn't a flop?? Lol

If Wenger does go, I'd like to see Klopp from Dortmund come and manage us but under no circumstances should we even look at Mancini lol.
 
All of Chelsea's current strikers are below average, its no coincidence that Chelsea let Sturridge go and he turns into a goal machine.

I don't think Klopp would leave Dortmund, Arsenal's board is probably already making arrangements for Mancini.
 
So - Bale to go to Chelsea for Mata and £50m? :D

Mourinho sure does love his attacking midfielders. And sticking his oar into "done deals" for top players :p
 
Looks like Podolski is out for 3 weeks due to a hamstring injury picked up in tonights CL match. Wilshere wont be training for a few days due to him being kicked about tonight and Ramsey could have a groin problem as he walked off 2 mins from time :/

Really need to get some players in now, our injuries just keep getting bigger and bigger:/..perhaps we should also invest in some better medical staff too seeing as our players get easily injured then spend weeks/months out.
