Some people scoff at Felaini joining Utd, like they are just 'settling' for him. Whilst this may not be totally without merit, I still think he would be a good signing for them and would fit in well with that team.

Quite a few Utd fans think that he will be found out by European refs for being too physical.

The majority of Everton fans ( and footy fans in general) at work seem to agree that he can be worth his weight in gold for a handful of FA matches each season, but he has a tendancy to disappear in a large number too

!

We can see that when he can be bothered he is still a great player and this is when he isn't quite fit and up to speed so hopefully he just needs a little more game time.

If we can get Kagawa playing well and sign Fellaini I reckon we could take the league again this season. City don't look great and nor do Chelsea from what I have seen.

Big question is whether he is showing the effort because he wants to move asap, or brcsuse he wants to stay? If its the former and he doesnt get the move - how will he be then? Ief he continues to show the effort then fsntastic, Im just not convinced he will for the full season.

Im sure Chelsea will sign a striker this week, even if it isnt WR. They could easily become a huge challanger when Maureen gets them geling. Same with Pellegrini and City

Luiz should have played instead of Ramires
Mata instead of De Bruyne
Lukaku instead of Schurrle

im sure Chelsea would have been quite dangerous then

They needed somebody in midfield who can pass the ball - everything broke down during the transition from defence to attack (as it did with Utd). Arguably Luiz can do that, but he's as wasteful as anyone at times.

Chelsea looked best when Oscar dropped back into the middle - Lampard's class, but didn't do much last night, so if anything I'd have brought Mata on for him, and dropped Oscar deeper.

In other news, Stoke have Assaidi on loan - I'll be interested in seeing how he does if he plays frequently. Whenever I've seen him he's looked lively and tricky, but very wasteful in possession. I'd much rather keep Sterling and Ibe as backups rather than him though, so pretty happy he's gone for the season.

Well we think that because we are. Have we been pursuing Fellaini from the start of the window and making big bids or have we only started bidding for him since we missed out on our main targets.

I don't think we are adverse to getting him but he won't solve our midfield issues so its no real surprise that we are not super excited about him. He would be a useful player to have about but for ~£20m you would want more than a squad player and someone who makes you a little better.

Good lord i am fed up with all this Rooney, Bale, Ronaldo, Mata, owil rubbish.

I wish Real Madrid, Chelsea, Tottenham and United would just figure something out.

Because we waste a spot on welbeck.

It's hard to believe we got a draw with such a handicap to be fair

Welbeck did good last night. He worked hard and gave it his all. Just not playing in the position that would give him the chance to score. Thats the problem here, he is a striker not playing in a strikers role.

I think he should go out on loan, we don't really need him right now. We have RVP, Rooney and Chico. We should stick to using our wide players playing in our wide areas. If Nani stays and is fit again, we should see our strongest line up. Nani is by far the best at cutting in and shooting. I actually miss watching him play, he is the next best thing we have since Ronny left.

He did completely muck up our best chance though. I don't think being up front more would help! Much rather have any of our other strikers (including Henriquez) up there.

Villash Boash....grrrr i hate how they pronounce his name...sounds retarded and yes i understand that is how it probably pronounced but some of these commentators i think overly exaggerate his pronunciation.

Meh im bored, no real news transfer wise for Arsenal:p

There is only so long we can say that welbeck in not in the right position to score. He has plenty of chances to score, he just misses them. We could use him as an out and out striker and he would score more but he would still not score anything like as many as he needs to in order to hold down a place in the united forward line.

It's a bit like buying a house, there's a chain of buyers that Tottenham just screwed up because Willian wanted something more upmarket :D

Pretty slow day transfer rumour-wise.

Nothing much from Newcastle, either. My natural optimism is under strain.

Pffft just sell Cabaye to us for £10mill:p, not that we need him but at least it means that we have spent some of our extremely large warchest as the media spins it.

English presenters and commentators are retarded though, I'm pretty sure Jamie Redknapp was saying Carzola instead of Cazorla for a good 6 months. :p

To be fair even i call him Carzola:o:D.

Isn't it just the correct pronunciation? Eg. in Spanish ll is a y sound, or whatever, and there are many similarities between Portuguese and Spanish. I don't think you can really complain about that - obviously they're just getting a hard on about learning how to pronounce something, which always happens when a new player joins the league, but it's better than them butchering the language horribly/being David Pleat.

It probably is but it just gets on my wick with their over exaggerated pronunciation of his name :/

Yeh but....he was free :/. I want to see Wenger spend some of that wonga we have in the bank.

Spend you tightfisted Frenchman:p
Wenger won't spend but you need a few £20m+ signings to be back to competing with United. It's obvious he'll have to retire or spend.

I do miss the times when there wasn't City or Chelsea up there!!
