LOL where did all this rubbish come about Kroenke secretly siphoning money out of Arsenal??.

First time ive ever heard that before and i find it ludicrous to think that he would do such a thing.

But fact is Kroenke shouldnt be the majority shareholder in Arsenal, hes useless...doesnt do much ie doesnt say much in the way of transfers but i suppose thats not a bad thing as i always find when owners and majority shareholders open their mouths, it tends to be a tad embarrassing.

Anyhow still nowt on the Arsenal front, ive more or less resigned myself to thinking we arent really going to be signing anyone unless Wenger pulls off the transfer move of the window ie getting the likes of Rooney, Suarez or some equally other unattainable player into Arsenal:p.

Been an absolute mess of a window for us, Wenger says he will not panic buy but i can see it happening if he does sign any players. As usual they will be cheap as chips and when they do play, they will be a liability on the team :/

God knows how tomo will turn out, fingers crossed Spurs have a team that hasnt gelled yet lol.

Que sera sera as they say.

I have actually, earlier in this thread,
.
Its rare that two weeks dont go by without Utd announcing another commercial partner of some kind or rather in one part of the world.

Its feeling like the Glazers want a commercial enterprise that plays football on the side rather than a football club who have specific partners tied into asisting with what happens on and off the pitch to the team.

Football teams shouldnt need " official" tyre / alcoholic beverage/ airline partners/diesel engine partner etc etc 34 as of Dec 2012 according to a Gaurdian article, so its probably around the 50 mark today

So you think were gonna get the best players based on attendance income at games?

there is no smiley for your posts :(

Would Mata consider going to Arsenal? Surely not. And surely Chelsea wouldn't consider selling him to them either.

I hope we aren't going to waste the last few days chasing mata. Would be a good signing but very unrealistic.

I'd be even more miffed if I were a utd fan and got fellaini for £28m, £4m more than they could have (stinks of desperation) and then chelski sell Mata for £30m :p

As Wenger described it as a game of poker I expect no news until 11pm tomorrow. This has panic wrote all over it.

Damn; won't have any internet access on deadline day. Maybe I'll just camp outside St James' and wait for the new signings to roll in.

Read my post.

Im all for the RIGHT kinds of sponsorship etc, shirt and kit deals etc. But to have tyre and diesel engine partners doesnt make any sense (let alone 15 - yes thats fifteen - integrated telecoms partners alone) to me feels like watering down the value of the brand rather than making it more valuable.

Reports are now suggesting its €28m / £24m for Fellani so right on the buyout clause of his contract, even so a little steep imo

You obviously don't know much about business then!

Back on topic; I hope we get Herrera, it would be something different to Fellaini at least.

No, that's not a rational basis for being against them doing what they're doing. What harm does it do? None. What benefits does it bring? Many millions into the club's coffers... money which allows you to pay people such as Rooney and RVP eye-watering salaries.

You couldnt be more wrong.

Winning the EPL and being in the CL year after year as well as having 75000 bums on seats for every home game is what allows paying RvP and Rooney what they earn ( along with shirt sponsorship and kit deals) .

Having a alcoholic drinks supplier makes very little difference at all

Off topic much...

Let's get back to talking about Arsenal and utd panic buying :p

Draxler apparently saying he will leave if a bid is accepted, site is down with link so can't confirm any quotes.
