Im not getting my hopes up just yet but Im sure Wenger has got something up his sleeve , his wry smile after todays game about transfers suggested it.
 
I'll believe it when I see him wearing the shirt. I'd be happy to have him even if central midfield isn't an obvious area we need more numbers in. Putting him where Rosicky was today would work but once Arteta and Poldi come back... then again I guess that might be a good headache to have.

Doesn't change the fact we need more in central defence and another proper striker though. Goal a game Giroud so far but if he gets crocked then either Walcott will have to go up front and, well, ha, or he'll have to force Bendtner to play.
 
The issue is, we don't seem to want a number 10 type player so Ozil might be a waste. :/

We need a CM, not a CAM/floating player. Fellaini and Herrera can both play CM (differently of course), but Ozil wouldn't generally be that deep.

Regardless, we should be going for him and simply stop mindlessly using wingers as ours just aren't up to the job of late.

no need , we can just do a Barca and play with no striker:)

Nope seems like you offered £5mill in wages and Arsenal offered him £7mill, don't know how true that is though.

Fingers crossed we really go out and spend some decent money...Ozil and Di Maria would make us real contenders for once.

As far as I'm concerned we need creative players. We had a good percentage of possession today (76% or something ridiculous for the first 20 mins of the second half) and we created....one good chance? That's pathetic. If we stopped playing Giggs/Young we could easily fit Ozil in with Kagawa/Rooney.
 
isco has dropped him down the pecking order and with bale arriving even more so

he was left out the squad for todays game and the previous one he stormed off down the tunnel when he was subbed lol
 
Giggs has more of a say in the club that ever so I would imaging we will be seeing plenty of him this season.
