My opinion hasn't changed.

I have said I don't know a lot about him, the next day or so after I had done some more research I said I respected what he had done and how you can see why he has been appointed.

I still don't believe that Mancini should have been sacked, I have repeated this throughout. But what I also said is that I have accepted it and of course I am now going to support Pellegrini and see what he can do.

Why is it crap?
He is the director of football, the job is to make decisions on signing players, selling players and dealing with the footballing side of the business.

I don't see what is wrong with what I said?

Ever changing opinion? on what exactly?

I think its the fact you are referring to a man who wouldnt **** on you if you were on fire, on first name terms.

Worse still, is after a couple of years on here you still post like you have a clue whats going on at the wastelands, when even those in charge dont know whats going on from one day to the next at the moment.

You don't know a lot about him but didn't you call him a 'Yes man'?

Also was it Falcao and Cavani you were talking about, you hadn't seen Cavani play but you'd much rather him over Falcao?

Yes it is a bit strange, most people didn't refer to each signing by what Fergie/Wenger/Etc. thinks and what they are thinking, seems weird

Yes I did, you don't have to know a lot about someone to have a feeling about what is happening.

I still believe that a major part of the change is because of how confrontational Mancini is and I said I don't think Txiki would want to work with him and certainly it seems there are many players who didn't want to continue under his management and someone like Pellegrini who has wherever he goes showed he always has good relationships with players and presumably the people above him would be easier to work with and not as confrontational over transfers and other footballing decisions etc. The "holistic" approach.
I corrected myself when I said he was a "yes" man, that was too extreme but he certainly is a different character to Mancini which is why I felt the decision was made to sack him and bring in someone different.

Again, I haven't seen a lot of Cavani but yes I think he is better than Falcao. Is that not allowed?

I also think Neymar is better than Sinclair but I haven't seen Neymar play much either apart from the odd friendly. Is that not allowed?

Can I not give an opinion on a player unless I have watched them extensively and whoever I compare them to I also have had to watch thoroughly and extensively?

After the transfer's City completed last summer one would have thought 'Txiki' is the last person you want in charge of your transfer dealings :p

I've never understood these directors of football picking the players anyway, surely that's the managers job? But I guess more and more clubs these days dont have managers they have 'head coaches' :o

He joined in October last year.

Marwood was the one dealing with transfers before that and your right he is the last person you want in charge.

I think it is a better way of doing it, if we would have had one in charge when we got took over it would have certainly stopped managers like Hughes having free reign to sign whoever he wanted on huge contracts.

Having one in charge also means that if the manager *headcoach* is sacked the period of change to a new one is a lot smoother and better for the team.

I think West Brom do the same thing which is why they seamlessly moved through their last few managers without any huge impact on the team's results or players that can sometimes occur when a new guy comes in.

What ever happened to backing your manager? Bringing in someone who picks the players basically means you're after a yes man as your manage....headcoach, it might be the modern way clubs such as City are run but I prefer the 'traditional' approach

:( if thats true then Arsenal need to pay him the rest of his contract and let him go...just get rid please.

I think they are. I don't think we will ever see him in an Arsenal shirt again. Not sure if his contract runs out this summer or next but we are looking for another club for him.

We have two LB's now and Verm, unless he decides to start playing on the right then I think he will be gone before the summer is out. Hopefully!

Personally i think his days were numbered when he pulled off that shirt exchange with RVP at OT when it was halftime...Wenger subbed him off and from that moment on, he never donned an Arsenal shirt.

Like i said, if no team wants him and he wants big wages...best thing Arsenal can do is to pay him the rest of his contract and let him go...might cost a few million but at least we can get better players in and pay them what we were paying the almighty Santos:p

How about this:

Sell Rooney, Buy Reus, Play this:

De Gea
Rafael - Vidic - Smalling - Evra
Carrick - Strootman
Valencia - Kagawa - Reus
RVP!!

GO ON MOYSEYY!!

I also hope to see Zaha thrown straight in next season, on Strootman I've been reading more very uncomplimentary things about him today :(
