Ben Smith BBC has confirmed Liverpool's interest in Henrikh Mkhitaryan, think he'd be a very good replacement for Suarez if he went but I'm not sure on the fee for him. £20m+ seems like a lot.

Come on Kenwright get the chequebook out and go get Honda right now!

You're only going to upset Tombstone with talk like that, I can only imagine how devastated he'll be if Honda comes to Liverpool but signs for the "wrong" club. In fact I bet he's got an alert set so that any time the combination of Honda and Liverpool are mentioned he gets it flagged up...

A lot of money been put on Dzeko to Chelsea today.

Mourinho is a known admirer though and when Dzeko was at Wolfsburg there were rumors that Mourinho wanted him.

Would be surprised if we sold him to Chelsea though unless of course we have Cavani lined up.

Shakhtar have done a deal for a player similar to Fernandinho so that deal may be back on as well.

He is a very good goal scorer but not that good at anything else.
Unlike Aguero or Tevez for example who are both good finishers but also can dribble, pass, create and generally do more than just stick it in the net.

If you watch all of his goals for us you will see a good portion come from when we aren't winning. This means that we end up going a lot more direct and generally just look to get it in the box asap which suits him.

With Aguero and Tevez in the team we just won't start games like that and will always use it as a backup plan.

He also isn't good enough or he at least didn't show that he was good enough to play as the traditional target man consistently enough and have the likes of Aguero, Tevez and Silva etc playing off of him.

The rumors could be rubbish and people are betting on nothing. Perhaps under Pellegrini he may find a new lease of life, especially with having an out and out winger giving him the service he could end up being a very important player in the team.

Sevilla say they have rejected a £14.5m bid from West Ham for striker Alvaro Negredo #ssn

Has Carroll decided he doesn't want to sign for them then? Suppose it means we definitely won't be able to get him this summer.

So Dzeko is best at getting goals when you need them most (not winning), averages a better goal return than your other strikers and he's not good enough? Strange....

Some more Arsenal rumours that i caught early this morning, Wenger is interested in Rooney should he leave Utd...personally thinking about it, dont want him anywhere near our squad and he will want stupid wages which imho Arsenal wont pay him.

Story here: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892...04/4024996/rooney-open-to-summer-arsenal-move

One other player we seem to be linked with is Michu from Swansea, now hes a player i wouldnt mind seeing in an Arsenal shirt...had an immense season with Swansea but i dont think Swansea are looking to sell him anytime soon.

Dailymail are saying that Sagna is looking to sign a new contract with us :/...dear god no!!!!...the sooner we get rid of him the better, made far too many stupid school boy errors for my liking this season. No doubt Wenger will give him a new contract and pay him more money...****ing idiot if he does, hes past his best.

Higuain is another DailyMail is talking about, £20mill for him...again a player that i really dont rate but if he does come then i hope he bangs in 25-30 goals for us.

As i said all rumours at the moment, so moses dont get your knick knacks into a twist;):p

All Wenger has actually said is that any team would be interested in Rooney, he hasn't said Arsenal are interested, that we are wanting to sign him or any of the other sensationalist 2+2=5 bullcrap that is spouted on a regular basis. I guess you could say that any team also includes Arsenal, but to me they just read like respectful comments about Rooney's ability.

It's Biz, he tows the party line more firmly than a labour mp and he is more fanatical than a jihadist.

This time last season Garcia was better than De Jong and that useless Brazilian right back was an upgrade (he's so bad I've completely forgot his name)

Seriously Biz, it doesn't make you a bad fan if you rightly flag random transfer dealings!

I never said he wasn't good enough for us. I said he wasn't a good target man which he isn't. He struggles against defenders with his back to them most of the time, will underhit more passes than he won't and just generally can't do that role. He is a great finisher when the ball comes to him but as I said if Mancini had Aguero and Tevez available he would pick them two because they give more to the team than just goals which is what you want from your forwards.

I even said in my post that he could well become a major player for us under Pellegrini, especially if he decides to stick him upfront by himself with Aguero to the left and Navas on the right.
He will get the service he needs and he will finish the chances with aplomb.

I don't want him going to any other team in the Prem because anywhere else except us and utd he will be the main man and will score for fun. He either goes abroad and is replaced by Cavani or we keep him. Of the strikers out there available the only one I would swap Dzeko for is Cavani.

Judging Garcia on paper and video he did indeed look an improvement on NDJ, as it turns it out he hasn't been. Has struggled physically and mentally to adapt and there is a good chance he will be sold.
Maicon I don't ever remember saying he was an upgrade I said he was a good backup, at the time Richards was injured and it wasn't for the first time. We couldn't go into the season with one recognised RB. For the low fee and wages I thought it was a good signing.
As it turns out he too has been injured and has shown only glimpses of his quality which could be down to the injuries or just that he is over the hill. Either way no harm in trying to get one or two seasons out of arguably one of the best full backs in the recent decade.
