Pleased with this Swans capture - we needed more physicality in the centre of the park, we've been desperate for someone who can shoot from outside the box since Gylfi left, and he's HG which is handy for our Europa campaign.

There's still a lot to come from the lad; it's easy to forget that he's only 21. Plus with Canas joining, the Hair Average remains the same :D

And hey, it's not like we had to give all our Joe Allen money back :p

Slightly surprising that he chose Swansea over Palace (assuming they too had a fee agreed) - he done well playing for Holloway at Blackpool and he's very much a Londoner. Hopefully we've got some sort of sell-on (or even buyback clause) in his deal because I wouldn't rule out him becoming a very handy player.

Don't think Palace or West Ham met Swansea's offer. Hopefully some sort of clause though. I can imagine him doing well.
 
BREAKING NEWS! Higuain apparently failed his medical at Arsenal because he developed asthama due to the dust in Arsenal's trophy cabinet.

Wow if the rumours are true that Arsenal are stalling over the transfer fee then im really gobsmacked only because we have been fed a lot of crap about how much we have to spend this year. So much for the much vaunted £70mill, seems like its more £7mill if we cant spend the extra few million and get a truly world class player into the squad.

So far Sanogo is the only one who has signed for us on a free which just like typical Arsenal, buying crap at cheap prices then continue saying yr in yr out that we have such and such amount and we can spend it.

Hopefully these are just rumours but theres no smoke without fire, if we lose out on Higuain then someone needs to be shot at Arsenal either Wenger or Gazidis, preferably the pair of them.

Knowing our luck, we will buy Barry, Torres and other teams useless rubbish:(

I imagine a lot of fans will be truly narked off if we dont sign decent players this summer, already i read somewhere that a survey was done on Arsenal fans and the majority dont like Kroneke being in charge and also Wenger is hardly favoured anymore by the Arsenal faithful. Again dont know how true that survey was but if it is true then its no real surprise. Was never ever a fan of Kroneke taking over as the majority shareholder.

Arsenal simply have to start spending, if they just get a couple of so-so players as usual then they're in for a real shock next season (as well as winning nothing as usual).

Wont be in the top 4 thats for sure and no CL football means we will see more players leave next season, already Koscielny is talking about leaving if we dont win trophies or start to challenge for them:(.

Just shocked that Arsenal dont seem to realise that world class players cost money, they dont come cheap and stalling over a few million quid is just utterly stupid.

This is why im starting to wonder if we *really* do have £70mill to spend this summer because so far i see none of that being spent this year. Hopefully by end of this month we will have signed some world class players but that hope for me, is slowly starting to wane now:(.

It's almost as if they're stuck in the past when it comes to player values and so forth.

Let's say Real Madrid (a club that are hardly desperate for money etc) are demanding... £28m... for Higuain, then Arsenal should just get it sorted. He's very much a proven goalscorer and has a lot of experience as well, losing out over £3/4m would just be insane.

As long as you're spending it on the right players there shouldn't be much of an issue for a club the size of Arsenal.

People do realise the Manager doesn't have all the say in how much the club is willing to pay for a player, and when to buy them?

Just checking, as people in here seem to think Wenger is making all these decisions. And you do realise that it's the board that keep saying there is money to spend, then not spending it? It's kinda their job to buy the players, you know?
