Itll get done. It is a player Arsenak badly need tho. Ive always thought Guendozi was toilet but i do like Cabellos.

If Gabriel comes off as being a decent cb then thats a decent first 11. Shame about Saliba mind you.
I’ve been impressed with Gabriel so far. He’s so good in the air. Seems to be under everything that comes in the box. Not bad with his feet either for playing out of the back, which much to the detriment of my nervous disposition, is something we love to do.

Im seeing talk of a 20 mil signing fee and an absurd wage. Who knows how much hes costing but its an interesting one. Why has it taken this long to get a free in?

I've seen 10 and 170k a week only.

Obviously it's been done a bit last minute, but I think it's a justifiable one on the whole.

He was on more then that at PSG and is a free. You arent getting Cavani for less then you pay Luke Shaw.
He also had no club and nobody, that could pay as much let alone more, was in for him.

With Igahlo's loan ending in 3 months, it's not the worst deal in the world as an experienced centre forward to pad out the squad.

Well we dont know that for sure. Im sure someone in the MLS would have paid more.

Sorry but a player like Cavani isnt being paid less then a bang average full back at that club. If he is his agent needs to have a word.

The MLS don't pay massive wages - I believe they release salary information and nobody is earning more than £150k per week.

And it's about supply and demand. When a player is in demand or a single club is particularly keen to sign them then they have a stronger negotiating position. I'm sure Cavani and his team were pointing to x at Utd and saying I deserve more but Utd's response will be, ok join <random la liga side> and earn £50k per week. A compromise will be reached and it wouldn't be remotely surprising if Utd have negotiated down from £200k to £170k.

That was one of the reasons they supposedly waited for the last minute, if Cavani wanted to play in the Champions League he had to sign for someone before today. Meant we could get him on a lower wage. Not that 100k more a week is really making much difference anyway.

In isolation I'm quite happy with him as a signing, but we have lots of other issues and I don't think it'll matter too much. Ole will probably be gone before too long.

lukaku wasnt good enough for utd he got 28 goals last season

cavani got 7 last season and is 33

they have just let their best cb go back to italy also and not signed a cb to replace maguire or bailly

what are utd doing
