Summer Transfer Window 22/23

Yes but if you buy enough of them you should have a functioning player. If you buy 4 players that are injured 2/3rds of the time you should have 1 1/3 players available at all times. :p
I already said, we're getting Arthur as spare parts for Thiago. We've got that Sebian horse placenta woman out of retirement and hired Pogba's witch.

Twitter tells me that Arthur is basically Thiago lite - same profile, same height and loves a niggle. Maybe we're going to take him on loan and remove his hamstrings so we can use them as spares for Thiago.

Barcelona signed Arthur for the Thiago/Xavi/Iniesta role as they considered him to be fitting into that style of play, obviously nowhere near those players in terms of quality but he'll be a very good squad player for us.

The only concern about him is that he's just as injury prone as Thiago but with him we'll be able to manage Thiago's time a lot easier and use him when it truly matters.

Have to say, Chelsea have spent a huge amount of money and I wouldn't say they have really strengthened much. Sterling was a decent buy but outside of that I'm not convinced. Aubamayang could be useful...if he can be bothered.

It certainly appears as if that's the idea but we really need to break the cycle we're in right now. I mentioned after the game yesterday that we could do with getting a few players back before the next injury because right now we've not had the options to rotate or make 5 subs and the same players are having to play 90 minutes game after game.

Hopefully another few days training allows us to use Jones and Matip and possibly Jota might make the bench at the weekend. Supposedly Arthur is fit but I'm guessing it'll be touch and go to get the paperwork done and get a work permit in time for Saturday - it would be handy if he was available though, even just so we're not having to name 2 keepers on the bench for the 4th game running.

Arthur looked the real deal first few months at Barca then he fell off a cliff.

Only a loan so doesn’t really matter but strange they couldn’t do better.

I'm not sure if Arthur is fully fit right now, he's been having ankle problems lately and has not played (or even made the bench) for Juventus this season at all, not even in the pre-season friendlies.

We probably didn't want a permanent or loan with obligation, so loan suited us better. Juventus probably wanted to just get rid of him as his playing style doesn't fit the club.

Just home from work.

Newcastle still interested in Tielemans.

Discussions have taken place.

Wages Probably a stumbling block.

There was some chat on twitter earlier that he's injured but a few journo's have rubbished that and said that whilst he's not played so far this season, he's fit and available. In normal circumstances I couldn't see him having any involvement at the weekend but unless a couple of other first team players are back this weekend then we might see him on the bench, if he's got his work permit in time. We've had 2 keepers on the bench for the past 3 games so there's no harm in having him there.

That's good to hear. Be great if we can have him on the bench this weekend.

I was reviewing his stats and they're better than I was expecting, I can clearly see why we're going for him.
