Not that slow really, youre quite far down the list of forwards after being knocked back by Delap, Pedro, Mbeumo and Ekitike. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few as well.Ornstein reporting we are in for Wissa and have contacted Leipzig over Sesko. We have signed Elanga but before all this Isak news, I feel the club have been very slow in their approach considering we have just qualified for the champions league. Disappointed.

Man Utd make Alexander Isak decision as Newcastle star signals intent to leave
Alexander Isak has told Newcastle he wants out of St James' Park - but Manchester United will not be making a move for the Swedish strikerwww.mirror.co.uk
Like there was any chance of it happening any way lol
AliI'd go with a 4-2-3-1 , like this
Frimpong - Guehi - VVD - Kerkez
Mac Allister - Gravenberch
Salah - Wirtz - Ekitike
Isak
I don't know. Granted I've not seen a huge amount of him but I don't think we pay £70m odd on a striker and then play him out wide. It might be an option at times but I think he plays centrally more often than not.I'd go with a 4-2-3-1 , like this...
any club with aspirations of winning the league next season will be praying they ain't getting isak - not that i think it'll matter. they've already done some cracking business this window and i can't see anything but them running away with it. thank **** top of tree isn't a consideration for my lot (man u)Liverpool aint getting isak you need to stop dreaming
Maybe not but it's clearly a possibility and clear that Isak wants the move.Liverpool aint getting isak you need to stop dreaming

Info from those at the club suggest this is nowhere near being done. Would expect it to be a long process unless Newcastle up the bid.bargain looks like we about to go on a shopping spree!!
They clearly have the final say but they're in a far from ideal position. Isak wants to leave and is kicking up a bit of a fuss to try to force the deal through - will he knuckle down and be the player he was if the deal doesn't go through or, like we saw with Gordon when Newcastle reportedly backed out of a deal to sell him last summer, does his form nosedive?he can want what he wants newcastle hold all the cards they got him on a 3 year contract
He does start centrally but if you watch him in games he has a tendency to drift to the left and often his approach play comes from the left, I dont think it would be a huge deal to turn him into a Mane-esque left wingerI don't know. The reason why I've always questioned whether we'd go for Isak is his fitness record. He didn't miss many games last season through injury but he was often subbed off midway through the second half or would miss the odd game here or there as a precaution. Maybe the club feel that Ekitike will get enough minutes just through resting/rotating Isak and the odd game either alongside him or out wide. It's really been such a wild summer that I don't know what to think but if Nunez and Diaz were to leave, I still think we need 1 more plus Isak.
Obviously the above is far from certain as I still don't think the Isak deal will be easy to do.

Newcastle have a choice of cashing in and trying to build a better side overall with the money they get or standing firm and hoping Howe can get Isak back onside. There's no right or wrong answer at the moment, it will all depend on how things work out.
Yea, I've seen a couple of vids of people analysing him but I think it's different to start centrally and drift out wide to starting wide. In a wide role he'll have to do more defensive work, he'll be picking up the ball in deeper positions and generally won't have the same freedom as he does from a central role.He does start centrally but if you watch him in some games he has a tendency to drift to the left and often his approach play comes from the left, I dont think it would be a huge deal to turn him into a Mane-esque left winger
He could spend all season on the bench and he'd still start for Sweden.i doubt his form would nosedive he will still want to be first choice in swedens squad for the world cup if he downed tools so to speak gyokeres could take his spot

He might play there from time to time but I really don't see us spending such a big fee for a player and then trying to turn him into something different and likewise, I'm not sure he signs on the basis that we're turning him into a winger.

Ok and? Sweden do not have the players available to them to put Isak's place in the side at risk. Providing he's got two legs he'll play whenever he's available for them.gyokeres has the better record for sweden
