You need to buy better sunscreen. Decide if you prefer mineral or chemical and Google/yt some reviews for light wearing ones before sampling. For the face Elta MD is goat but it's expensive.
I normally just stand there arms out with balls flapping in the wind and ask the wife to slather me in whatever potions she has. God knows what she uses, probably something poisonous.
An incidental top tip - unless you are going into an inferno, avoid factor 50, IMO.
You’re much better off just staying in the shade and reapplying when needed. You want some rays to get through to actually add to your natural tan protection.
I say this because there are some people that always put on factor 50 and then always whine that they never tan and ‘always burn’ if they don’t use factor 50… well, that would be why!
