Was only out in the sun for half hour and now I'm as red as a beetroot:(

Anyone else suffer from it really easily? And what do you do to help?

I have some aftersun but doesn't really do anything.

(No I'm not a ginger)

Im really blonde and am quite pale, I find doing the sensible thing and putting on some sun cream or whatever you call it on when its sunny and im going outside :)

You actually genuinely need advice on this? Will we have a "how to wipe my backside" thread yet?

(Front to back for girls, unless they like infections.)

Wear high-factor sun lotion. Problem solved.

Just trying to get advice from people who get it as to how to soothe it or help with the pain. Get out of my thread.

This is op.

If you're already burnt then about all you can do is to apply aftersun lotion and keep applying it regularly to try and keep the skin moisturised which will help soothe the irritation and possibly prevent it cracking/peeling. Apart from that it's all about preventative measures but that only works before you get to the stage of being burnt.

Apply suncream before you go out. If you buy a high street brand then you will get told to use a high factor. In reality you don't need to, that is if you buy a proper product that is designed to care for you :

That depends how easily you burn. You may well need a high SPF, it's a bit of a silly website for pointing out % and suggesting it makes no difference, it makes a lot of difference, especially if you burn easily and are in a high solar place. SPF 15 means you can take 15 times more radiation before burning, not time like people think. For example at midday you get slot more radiation than in the mourning.

For the op who burns in spring in the uk in half an hour at high summer or abroad especially around midday he would certainly need a high fps.

Nice typo there...I'm thinking of a new advertising campaign for graphics cards now. Buying a high-end graphics card protects you from sunburn because the high fps makes games more enjoyable, which means that you're more likely to stay indoors playing games than go out in the sun :)
