Sunglasses

NorthLife is what I buy now, cheap and have survived loads of mountain biking and snowboarding. I have a few pairs so I can keep a set in car etc

2 Pairs of Ray Ban, it would be 3 pairs but I loaned a set to a mate who moved away and took them with him lol. I also had a set of Bolle which I forgot to take out of the car when I traded it in.

One pair is the wayfarer, I've not worn them in about 30 years and the other pair I just keep in the car for when it gets sunny, you know that one day a year in Scotland where everyone turns lobster coloured. I just really like the lenses in Ray Bans.

Good timing this thread actually. My mate visited last week and went back home in my Goodr's!

I'd happily buy another pair if the lenses were better quality. The go to is probably the Sungods given the lifetime warranty, it's just a shame they've stopped the Free Pair promotion here in Europe as the idea of some high end cycling glasses and then some normal sunglasses was great!

I might buy Goodrs since they're cheap and then when the lenses fall apart like my old ones use one of the companies making high end compatable lenses.

I've been bleating on about Oakley prism in this thread but I bought a pair of Vuarnet Legends when I was in Chamonix last month. While they aren't quite at the level of the Prism they are not far off, way more stylish too. Straight to the top of my my favourite pair list.

Incidently, they have glass lenses so won't scratch however my iphone doesn't recognise me when I am wearing them, have to lift them to unlock it. Only other pair I have where this happens are my glass lensed Clubmasters I keep in the car. Is this a coincidence or have I just learned for the first time that iPhone front cameras cant see through tinted glass??

I've always stuck with Rayban as they've served me well over the years. Currently have two pairs of polarised ones, one pair is for driving and lives in the car at all times, the other pair is for general non-driving use.

Recently lost the latter after about six years when they fell out of my pocket at a Warwick Castle gig and I didn't realise until I got home. Either they got trodden into the ground or some lucky bugger found them.

I liked them so much I literally went online and bought the same pair again the moment I got home :)
