A tip: collect reports for the admiralty, and remember, you can visit a place several times and get a report every time. Many people apparently didn't know this; me having been one of them.

Add me to that list, I definitely got the impression they were one time things

I worked out they were multiples early game entirely by mistake. Just made it to the extreme east of the map before sailing back tonight, should I be getting ideas about trading or purchasing stuff in one place to sell elsewhere? I haven't really found anything like that but not sure if that's me missing it or it isn't an aspect of the game.
