Looking at some reviews the performance doesn't seem that great, maybe there needs to be some windows and driver updates before we see the true benefit of them. Have you guys here had a play yet? They seem to have a longer use life which would make them worth an investment to heavy users maybe. Wonder how they would handle something like X-Plane with a bunch of large photo scenery items, can take an age to load normally.
I have changed my mind and I may want one of these gen 4 nvme. I have just ordered a aorus pro x570 from OCuk and that mobo comes with m.2 heat sinks. Do I use the heatsinks that come with the m.2 ssd for best results and not use the mobo heat sinks?
it looks like the aorus with that copper is the best? is that correct?
although the aorus is copper I would not describe that a finned - more like grooved. The corsair MP600 looks better but is not copper. I seem to remembering reading some reviews and the mobo heat sinks usually do a good job. so you think that the heatsinks with the ssd's are better than the mobo heatsinks?Finned design so will be better.
Cooling point of view, copper is the best conductor or heat and aluminium dissipates it better .
Just a shame Aorus didn't powder coat it black or silver
