Super Lanboy is back! Limited Time Only!

i think the gril fan would look good in blue too, with the rest in black.

I tried to spray something in the past in black, but it kept chipping and revealing the original beige when touched or hit, whats the correct way to do it?

i picked this up the other day too, gonna mod it up anyday now :D

What is the name of that fan grill?

As Andy298 said if you google Billet fan grill you'll find it ;) From what i've seen though its only available from the US but they do ship to the UK. Shame you cant get the full range of gear they sell across here in the UK, some of there stuff looks rather tasty.

Well I never actually sprayed anything myself, but I've read quite a few guides on doing so. In a nutshell you got to sand the case down first before spraying it, then prime it and sand down again in between dry coats to smooth it out. Then spray paint, again sanding down with fine grit between dry coats and lacquer it to finish.
I'm sure it's pretty easy but with me it's finding the courage to actually start attacking something I just bought :D

sounds like a lot of work, silver it is  lol

With the price of the lanboy just buy two of them, room to mess up then. :p

Still the normal RRP for the case.

well im in the process of making a cube case out of them both, ive already pop-rivet removed the nasty drive cage / stuff from one :)

and the motherboard plate for one of them.

each side has a window panel now

not sure how to join them together yet, was thinking of bolting them using small bolts, about 4-8 bolts.

watercooling is going in the back section, rad etc. + hdd + opticals. + psu

il cover the front psu section with some aluminium neatly,
was thinking of taking out the back section from the case (back part)
and making a nice 2x120 rad section eliminating the pci section under the fan.
(but may i add im probably far to lazy to do it lol)

I'm looking for a new case, and have narrowed it down to the Antec Super LANBOY or the Antec SLK3000B, they are both £35 and doesn't come with a PSU.

I'm looking for a quite case, and have read a few reviews of the LANBOY. I'm a little concern that the panels of the Lanboy may be a little bit on the thin side, and as a result, noises coming off the hard drives are quite audible.

What do you guys think, is it that bad?

the aluminum is very thin on the lanboy, thus making it very light

my stacker is about 5 times more heavier than the cube i made.

the hard drive section in the lanboy is via trays and dampers, so shouldnt
really leak much hdd noise, what hdd do you use?

raptors are noisey so you whill hear that chugging along,
also as its near the front fan grill open section the noise will leak

im using a set of seagates 7.10s which are virtually silent anyway
