Why oh dear?
It's perfect for me and my needs
Might not be any good for you, but I don't need massive accelleration or high speeds. Gets me to and from work and the occasional trip to London (from Swansea) as well as I could need.![]()
Entertaining, but what would be miles funnier is a proper explanation of how your engine develops the extra power needed to justify a massive speed increase.
Atm I'm thinking no-one could be that dumb......

If the car is tuned for it, then super has it's purpose. If your car is stock and is not tuned to run on premium then it's a case of The Emperor's New Clothes. You only feel the difference because you've spent the extra money so you want to feel the benefit even if none exists, it's especially useless in a 1.0 Uno which will only feel faster when you drive down a sharp incline (cliff).
How does one know if you should be using it or not? My mate runs it in a VXR Astra and says he has to and its better for it but i'd have thought it was for a lot higher spec machines. He also has some funny notion about sitting in the car for 5 minutes at a standstill before he switches it off and turns off the key. Some 'essential cooldown period' apparently.
Fair enough.![]()
This makes no difference. Karmann are the company behind the Nissan Micra C+C and the Mercedes Benz CLK Convertible. Two products desinged to do the same job from the same company. Both are rated to be driven on European roads, meet all appropriate safety standards etc. Does that make them the same?Comma are the make behind Halfords oils - they are also behind Mobil.
It could be that your car needs a damn good service including new plugs, leads, new filters and oil. A good service will restore power in an older car.
